I mean love it 😍
Live it
Love your show... the articulated cardboard figures work so well and the folded/opening stagings are just great!! We've done some articulated 2D and 3D characters for our updated Pollocks theatre: th-cam.com/video/mepmELJvUTs/w-d-xo.html
It looks like a reindeer, not a horse, but the biomechanical effect is perfect. For Christmass would be very nice to watch this reindeer with Santa.
thank-you that is an interesting idea! This was just the mock-up to test the mechanism, so I hope the final version looked a bit more horse-like :) check out the Pony 3000 video for the final effect th-cam.com/video/95DiKikmNEE/w-d-xo.html
I am in absolute love.
I love Benjamin Britton's Sea Interlude.
This is wonderful. Real toy theatre!
I see it looks like you used a bike structure but what did you attach that to that you are moving? Do you happen to have a step by step to what you did? This is great!!!!
Thankyou! We used two different bike frames fixed together. The body of the horse is slotted on top of a second bike frame and has part of a roof rack for a stabiliser. It was entirely created from scrap/reclaimed materials so it would be no good attempting to tell other people how to do it as you wouldn't be able to get the same exact materials. You can look at the blog posts from the time here: wp.me/p1p80v-au This is the first post about it - if you look forwards in time from that post you'll see all the different stages we went through.
Woowwww that’s really need a lot of passion to make ✨respect
This was one of the ways families entertained themselves in the home in the 19th century, long before even radio became available. Children and their parents would cut out stage procensiums and curtains, scenery flats and backdrops, and figure flats out of toy theatre kits that were published and sold widely in Europe and America, and perform the shows according to prepared scripts that came in the package. The form was very popular until the first primitive motion pictures by the Lumiere Brothers and later Georges Melies began appearing. Toy theatre managed to hang on for a few decades afterward until the last publisher in Britain folded up in the 1950s. It's in recent years that people have been rediscovering the art along with a lot of papercrafting art forms.
Good job
Thankyou very much :)
Absolutely love this!
It took me about a day to make, but it was not my original design. It was adapted from some existing paper automaton models on You tube
looks really cool. How long did it take to make?
