Love me some mumford and sons. Great cover my guy!
What did you do to sweat so much?
I'm an ultrarunner. This was from running a section of the Appalachian Trail, when it was 100°F
Well done my brother. You have inspired me to learn this now. I shall begin tonight ❤
Just ordered this guitar for a upcoming unplugged show. Opening up for Stryper in Michigan during their acoustic tour. Love the body look so hopefully it feels and plays nice
Rock on!
Hey, cool cover, dude!
Keep it up!
😭is soooooooooo cooooooooooooooooool
Favorite artist ever 😍
You should practice single notes
You got it down bud keep it up. I cant play unless im drunk Its my secret drunk talent lolol. Keep going dude!
Loosen up your still to tight don't be afraid to slide it and really.go for it!! Learning tom petty and wars lowrider taught me that !!
You have played before, because you couldnt play it if you didnt
Your drumming is light years better than The Beatles' former drummer, Pete Best. How in the world do you deem the drumming "terrible?"
Dude this is awesome nice feel it’s clear your really getting your own feel and soul developed keep on!
KEEP GOING BRO, nice work !! much love from New Zealand
If I have learned anything in the past week - it's that the internet is actually full of people who would rather encourage someone than drag them down. I appreciate everyone's comments and suggestions and constructive critiques!
Very pretty kit. Not bad at all. If I can share some advice it would be you are trying too hard and adding way more than needs to be there. Remember as a drummer the most important thing is to keep tempo. Focus on staying in the pocket and as far as fills and accents, most of the time less is more. Focus on that tight groove and pick and choose carefully what you add in. Do less on your fills. Try doing some much simpler fills and save the fancier ones for that peak moment in the song usually repeating a chorus for the last time close to the end of a song. Keep it up man you're going great. Way to not be afraid to put it out there and giving yourself some accountability to getting better! If you're having fun, you're doing it right!
The fact that you're actually behind the instrument playing and practicing is everything that counts. I would say you have a great understanding of how drums are played (as in note placement, rhythm) but your technique kind of rough. Try playing less from the shoulders/upper body and more from the wrists, lowers arms. You should also always play with headphones and a metronome.
As someone who can play most intermediate to advanced level songs almost perfect and told that I'm pro-level, let me tell you man, the more you practice, the more you'll feel the rhythm and feel it inside your soul. The more the groove will come naturally. Keep it up bro
Whenever you feel down or overwhelmed regarding technical ability, check out some Steve Jordan to remind you that there's different types of technical depth. Jordan is an amazing drummer who can and does play the simplest of grooves, but with such good time and feel that it elevates boom chick boom chick to heights of musicality, and his extensive work illustrates that having superb pocket is enough to make other musicians want to play with you. There's a great video during which he does the rhythm section from a famous track with the bass player he laid it down with. The pattern is very simple - beginner level stuff - and he never once plays a fill or deviates. But the bass player is just delighted to be sitting in a really really deep pocket. It's a great lesson in musicality, simplicity, and letting go of ego.
Good job bro.
this was very good! best of luck with practice and remember to have fun and not rush it! you got this!
You aren't terrible at all bro! Keep it up! You're doing great! If I can, I'd like to give you a couple of tips. Loosen those limbs a bit, use your wrists more and wear ear protection! Yes, even if you use low volume cymbals. The drums can still be loud and when you add a loudspeaker on top of it, you can still damage your hearing. I'd suggest playing to the music with headphones and add the music afterwards to the video! Cheers!
keep it up. dont be afraid of the drums
IDK about you, but that triplet fill at 1:46 was epiiicccccccc
As a "former" drummer (even tho drumming is a way of life, once is inside you there's no way out) i can tell that the only "flaw" is that you don't listen to the tempo, so you tend to speed up. Which is common, btw, when playin over "perfect tracks"; live, in a band, it wouldn't be so "dramatic". But your coordination is there, so keep it up
You’re not the only one. I need practice as well. However it’s nice to see you having fun while doing it.
beautiful kit man, and you aren't bad at all! good shit!
keep it up, this aint bad
Not terrible at all man. Keep going! Remember, always challenge yourself for a small part of your practise session. You won't believe your own progress.
You're doing okay. I see the guitars on the wall, is that your primary instrument of choice?😊
Bud this is fantastic, excellent job!
Great! Loved it brother.
Probably his best song. Great cover!
