Never trust the Police, the Supreme court has ruled that they CAN LIE with Qualified Immunity. Always film the police! Four States Legislators have wised up and reversed Qualified Immunity for Career Criminal Police Officers, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Montana. Smart decisions because they are tired of the Tax Payers paying for LEO's cowardice ways. Qualified Immunity needs to be reversed in all states. If you'd like the public to play a large part in defining the budget and interact with your tool (a really awesome goal btw!) you may consider holding discussion groups which allow people to reflect and ask question in written form. I love that the meetings are recorded on youtube but it has been 1 hour and 30 minutes which is available to me to review what is going on during your meeting. Writing a summary of the meeting in the video description, with links to the relevant portions of the meeting would allow people to review the full meeting and jump into more depth where they have questions about how an item was arrived out. Then a place to discuss, ("Why has hiring been a challenge? What can we do to overcome it?") would complete the circle on communitiy engagement. TH-cam is an unfortunate location for discussion, but other places exist. Also it will take a concerted effort on communication for people to become engaged. 🙃I do think that Francesa Segre's review of the school board meetings are a good summary of reporting the meetings (but lacks links to video; and a place to discuss).
