We Will Dance Again (2024) Review - Remembering the October 7th Massacre
มุมมอง 3683 หลายเดือนก่อน
Warning! This video contains graphic and disturbing images of extreme violence. That being said, everybody needs to watch this movie. This is a review of the documentary film We Will Dance Again, which tells the story of the massacre that took place at the Nova Music Festival in Israel on October 7th, 2023. I felt the need to talk about it and keep the memory of that day alive. We must never fo...
Top 10 Movie Libraries

Libraries are a wonderful source for knowledge, creativity, and a great place to just lose yourself in a good book… It's also a place that I haven't seen the inside of for over a decade. I must admit, I’m not an avid reader. I barely read at all, actually. But instead of actually changing that, I decided to list my top 10 favorite libraries in film. I mean, I figured it would be the next best t...

the psychologist is at fault should have notice it and stop all the BS
Probably one of the greatest films ever made. Yes, there were other great films that year (Full Metal Jacket, Empire of the Sun) but none come close to matching The Last Emperor in magnitude, scope or relevancy in addition to the more practical aspects such as costume design, art, score and cinematography.
37 seconds of my life wasted here
If you wanna recap the entire movie and pretty much show everything here, then don't call your video a review. If you want to do a review, don't freaking spoil the goddamn film! I don't care how long ago it was made. The main reason most people are here is to determine whether or not to watch this film. You completely misunderstand your audience.
This is the type of movie that knowing how it ends doesn't take away from the experience. I recommend you still watch it and enjoy.
@IaMD.B. I'll watch it for sure but please have some sort of warning or separation between a review and spoilers. Thanks.
Some Americans seem to have a short attention span. Read the book and understand how great this film is.
I'm not an American, so... Also, people really need to stop conflating someone thinking a film is too slow with him having a short attention span. Some of my favorite films of all time are really, really slow. But some films are slow for a reason, or have other things that make the slow pace worth it, while others are just slow... If a film is slow for no reason, that's not good.
@@IaMD.B. Ok maybe you have been watching too much Media in general from the US
Silly to rank any Sergio Leone movies 'from worst to best' - they are ALL superb. Varying degrees of the definitive 'superb', of course, with 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' the best movie made, by far.
No it was good but it was nothing compared to the first
Duck you sucker is great but it's kind or drug out, some very long scenes with little going on. As you say when I say that, I still think it's great i just wish the pace was a little faster. Never cared for Once Upon a Time in America. How the West was Won is my favorite, maybe because I have seen the rest and discovered it last so it's got a bit of "newness" to it. And some of the best lines ever.
I just this movie last week in Jan 2025 ! 27 YEARS after being released!! I was blown away ... the desert is such a beautiful place to fall in love ❤️
Mel Brooks Movies Ranked 1: Blazing Saddles 2: Spaceballs 3: Young Frankenstein 4: Silent Movie 5: Robin Hood: Men in Tights 6: High Anxiety 7: The Producers (didn’t see) 8: History of the World Part 1 9: The Twelve Chairs 10: Dracula: Dead and Loving It 11: Life Stinks Didn’t Include New Faces (1954), To Be Or Not To Be (1983), The Producers (2005), and Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank (2022) as he either was a writer/producer or actor not director

one thing i think you’re missing is how the cycle isn’t just a result of the characters making bad decisions, it’s also said in the beginning that the favela is this way because the rich and powerful in rio needed a place to keep all the undesirables. then towards the end this is brought back around with how the cops basically collaborate with lil z and arm both sides in the war between lil z and cenoura/knockout ned. this isn’t just an issue of the personal responsibility of those in the favela, but also engineered by those outside who want to both keep poor people out of the places they live, and to exploit the horrendous circumstances they’ve put them in for profit. they in a lot of ways encourage the worst sorts of people in the favela, as it made clear when knockout ned says in the interview they arrest him but let lil z go on killing.
that being said, agree with everything you said about the editing and cinematography
I really love this movie. I’ve seen it twice and it was just as good the second time as the first time. The only issues I had was the body shaming for Clara which I don’t understand because she is sweet and gentle and honest reflected in her prettiness and cuteness, not a bombshell but that’s fine. I also don’t love how the mother and friend completely disapprove of his choice even if they only saw her for a few minutes or seconds (for completely understandable reasons) as you said (his friend also disapproves because Marty left him with no trace and didn’t get it properly introduce her so with that initial context it sort of makes sense why he dislikes her and calls her a “dog” even though it is a bit too harsh and unfounded). But his cousin which is the other storyline you forgot to mention, for him it makes sense because he is stuck in a compromising marriage with his wife who doesn’t like his mother and that leads to an interesting POV with him being probably the second most interesting character here. But Marty is obviously the best one. He is an insecure pushover but the night he has with Clara allows him to fend for himself in life which is an amazing arc, reflecting in the writing which reflects his development movingly as it progresses making it so engaging and relatable. I mean dating today is a whole different ballgame with it being online but people still judge you for not being or not choosing someone who is attractive in dating today, shown here with the way both Marty and Clara are treated but they ultimately find happiness, comfort and honesty in each other’s presence which is really what love should be about. The film is quite short and I do feel like the friend is a little too underdeveloped as is their relationship but that is the only one where I feel like a couple of scenes could have benefited the story. But tbf it would make the arc of him trying to find happiness for himself without regard to the opinion of others and not being a pushover anymore so I understand why they did it like that but it could have been there. Ernest Borgnine is the true standout and centre of the film and his performance is just so endearing and heart wrenching to me and at points I was crying bittersweet tears because he plays him with such honesty and sweetness and it is truly hard to see someone get pushed over like he does because of his good heart but he ultimately chooses his heart over everyone else in his life in the satisfying ending. I also love Betsy Blair’s charming and emotional performance as Clara and the guy who performed as his clearly jaded and angry best friend was great as well as they reflected two different sides of being unlucky in love and for that they both got nominated for Supporting Actress and Actor respectively which is super deserved imo. It’s crisp and realistic cinematography set with the on-location shots of The Bronx add to the setting making it compromising making you truly feel for him. I also like the way it is scored because the way most music is seen is within the universe and not a non-diegetic score which engrosses you into the plot which is very effective. It is a truly relevant film that deserves and should be seen by everyone. It is truly an underrated Best Picture winner that deserves more love. An easy 9/10 for me.
Subbed up just for the name of the channel fuck yeah!!!
Right on!
TGBU is a perfect movie, every shot , everything, yes a masterpiece 👏 ❤ beautiful
I'd swap out 5 and 6, but otherwise I agree.
one of the worst movies i have seen this year, dumb, useless and tecnically abismal...
What I hate more is Madeline swan

Every review of The Deer Hunter should mention the fact that the Russian roulette scene is not based on facts. It never happened in the Vietnam War. It's one of the reasons why I can't call The Deer Hunter a great film.
A good essay, except I would have put 'A Fistful of Dynamite' higher - and I can never make up my mind whether 'Once Upon A Time in the West' or 'The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly' is greater. I love the latter, but as a piece of filmmaking OUATITW may be superior.
You should review all the X-rated films that were nominated for Oscars, 1969 was a big year: midnight cowboy, easy rider, last summer and the wild Bunch
The Only X-rated movie to win best picture.
What about Squid Game 2?
Happy for you !
I always loved this movie; my only issue is if its accepted that Nicholson was collaborating, why did the commando unit see it as so important to blow up a bridge that they weren't sure would have been built to a great standard & wasn't even built yet?
If you're going to make a video like this, make sure you have good arguments. You didn't have any
This movie did a fantastic job showing how ignorant mob mentality can destroy someone's life.
The Godfather is one of the most overrated films of all time. Even Mario Puzo said he wrote the book because he needed the money and knew that idiots love violence and dumb plots. Well dressed murdering thugs with a basic use of the English language with no morals. What's wrong with Shakespeare?
This was the first english movie I, and most other Indians from the time watched. We watched it in Hindi. It was all over the theatres in 1982. Audiences back then had never seen filmmmaking of such calibre - the entire crowd used to cry out loud when the film ended with Gandhi's assasination. Truly a great film.
Reservoir Dogs is so fucking overrated. But here is a tentative ranking: 1. Pulp Fiction 2. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 3. Django Unchained 4. Inglorious Basterds 5. Jackie Brown 6. Kill Bill 7. Reservoir Dogs 8. The Hateful Eight 9. Death Proof
It was produced by Mike Todd, Elizabeth Taylor, narcissistic and con artist husband, who probably offered the members of the academy interesting bribes
Giu la testa was the prefered of leone
For some reason, liberals love and worship this movie ... not sure y
because it's about infidelity.
@@IaMD.B. Ha! 8-D
Hi! Can I message you on some social network? I have a business proposal for you
Part 1
I have just finished. It was interesting. I don´t like the end. The end is too sweet. I would prefer more drama at the end. Thats the way those stories ended most of the times.
I was disappointed with the ending too , I was expecting an out of frame gun shot ending the movie!
I did get suspicious of the godfather at one point.. and then Klara’s father theo who was a drunkard and psycho keeping his wife and Klara’s mouth shut. But i guess not. Its sad, what a society can believe and do…
What a sad way to start a video
Once Upon A Time In The West... is for sure #1!!! GB & U is obviously a close 2nd!!! Really close!! Any Leone film review should be a Leone / Morricone review!! They went to grade school together, and created the best 2 westerns of all time!!! Here it comes time / space / capsule!!! Gritty, dirty, real!!
Well, they DO get a comeuppance in the end - Velma and Roxie are simply forgotten nobodies. Sure, free from jail, but this is their personal hell: nobody gives a damn about them. The actual problem is that the film directly jumps from that to their fantasy of being famous and recognisable performers, undermining the fact that they've got exactly what they deserved: a spot in the gutter.
You are absolutely wrong and I love Pascal's acting the rest of the cast is just ok and Denzel didn't do anything requiring his talent. The director is certainly the proble with the first one and the story line was too loose with reality of Rome back then those folks were not Moral by any means. 2nd one was a Roman version of SharkNado.
The film was way to fast paced
One big mistake: People in Italy KNOW he actually directed "My NAme is Nobody" , not Tonino Valerii. Leone was NOT just a Producer/ Writer on the film
id never cried over a movie before till i watched this film
Love The Good, The Bad & The Ugly but both Once Upon a Time in America & Once Upon a Time in the West are the better, more complex, more complicated complete masterpieces
I'm am not a fan of "Once Upon A Time In The West". Sorry but I can't stand the acting. Especially Jason Robards.
2:20 how can anyone personally connect to an emperor, be him a de facto ruler or not? If all movies must create characters for viewers to connect to, let all movies be about someone working a 9-5 schedule and let there be no change in time.
My ranking of his movies are 1. Once Upon a Time in America 2. The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly 3. Duck You Sucker 4. For a Few Dollars More 5. Once Upon a Time in the West 6. The Colossus of Rhoads 7. A Fist Full of Dollars.
