Just a mix of some good times with the Mavic Mini. Can't say enough good things about this little guy. Enjoy!

J-3 Kitten - Circuit Laps at 70S
มุมมอง 3263 ปีที่แล้ว
I bought this J-3 Kitten 2 1/2 years ago. It is powered by a Hirth 2702 two-stroke engine, with a Powerfin prop. It is classified as a Part-103 Ultralight, weighing in at only 251 pounds. Now that repairs and upgrades have been made, it's finally ready for this 'low-hour barn find' to stretch her legs. It was a wonderful afternoon to get some laps in around Mead airport. Winds were a bit heavy,...
what was the stall speed ?
Glad I don't have to hand prop
Lot of play in front wheel
Song ruins the video
There's a mute button ya know.
@@taildragger_spiff3863 yes and I used it otherwise a great video
I've heard a lot of comments dissuading from 2 stroke on planes. Are they really unreliable and dangerous in reality?
I promise you, if it was unreliable or unsafe, I wouldn't fly a 2 stroke! I still have dual ignition, electric start, etc.
@@taildragger_spiff3863 I'll look into the J3 kitten then. What should I be more aware of when running 2 strokes?
@@wckoek Shock cooling is bad, oil mixture is everything, and follow the engine manufacturers instructions to the letter!
What was the windspeed on this day and what is the max windspeed you will train under. Thanks .
Looks like a fun plane! I'm interested in building one, I'm curious what kind of engine your using? And what's the heaviest you could use?
Engine is a Hirth 2702. With the electric start and gear reduction drive, it's around 52 lbs. The airframe itself was over built, and is capable of handling up to 75 lbs engine weight.
can u put more of training videos along with audio?
The Instructor has no inside camera and sound how he is teaching the student pilot. 5/19/2021
We both have headsets and an intercom. The camera is mine, filmed with his permission.
I'm liking the way that you have your door propped up. Wondering if you could send me a photo of the attachment hardware. Thanks Al...
