Imaging Peculiar Galaxies 164,000,000 light-years away!
Tonight, I'm going after a pair of interacting galaxies ~ 164,000,000 light-years away from Earth. Due to the tidal forces of their gravities interacting with the other galaxy, the galaxies are slowly being pulled part. Arp even stated when he first cataloged these galaxies as peculiar filaments. This was in references to the "tails" that have been subsequently pulled away from the galaxies as a result of these tidal forces.
Yes, I imaged all of this from my backyard and you can too! There is a massive community of astronomy enthusiasts and astrophotographers on all social media platforms that are here to help should you decide to also join the fun.

Thanks for the vid. Just got the CEM 70 for my Edge 9.25. I was pulling my hair out though trying to get the mount to talk to NINA. My fault for installing iGuider when the mount didn't have it... (I thought it was part of iPolar) took a week to sort it out. smh. All good now, and very happy with the mount. iOptron customer service was good help too. oh, my kit weigh in at 18kg.

Thanks for the great unboxing video. Under comments you mentioned parting away with this scope. Is it because it was not good and second how did the pictures turn out ? Thanks again and enjoyed watching your video

That’s a great and easy to follow explanation off the advance sequence. Just a question about PHD2 do I need to start it up and connect to camera and mount and start loping? Or will N.I.N.A do that ?

Great video! However, I am really struggling with Explore Scientific 127mm metal version. I get lot of vignetting even after upgrading the reducer with M48 threads with ZWO2600MC PRO. Do you think the sensor is too big for this scope, should I go for a small sensor, something like ZWO 585MC Pro? Please do let me know. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for the video. I’m currently making a side-by-side set up and I do know that they have the synchronized dither I just wanted to take on how I could do synchronized auto focus so I know it really doesn’t have that but can we do it wait or should I just run a second target being the same Basically this way part of that after say 10 photos I appreciate it

The case is nice for shipping, but... The scope isn't going to fit in there once you start bolting accessories on, and who wants to completely disassemble and reassemble the imaging assembly every time you use it.

FedEx is horrible, all my boxes come like that from them, the latest disaster a $2,700 guitar. I've had better luck with UPS the last few years. Good thing it wasn't an AT 80 EDL or 80 ED, no case for those FedEx would have mangled em.

I'm a little bit disappointed in your quoted guiding numbers. The AM5 routinely gets me between 0.3" and 0.6" with a C11 non there less on a TC40 tripod. The only problem is it had trouble dampening breeze when I have the aluminum dew shield on and was looking for something more capable.

Interesting video. An 80 mm APO costs just as much as a Bresser 127/1200 mm f9.4 achromat (475$) and more than a Bresser 102/1000 mm f9.8 (350$). I wonder which one is overall better for normal use (not for astrophotography). I guess the 127/1200 mm achromat schould be better since the difference in aperture is so big. I would really apreciate your opinion on this :). Thank you!

Excellent content and very well explained, nice mount! subbed! I'm new to these types of mounts as I just received the HEM 27 and I can't get my head around the zero/ home position. Do I rough polar alignment first and not turn on the mount and then do zero position and then park the mount for ipolar setup? Sorry if this doesn't make sense. newb here.

Nice and realistic review. You probably have 3-5+ years experience. Talking a lot of sense. What is your location bortle? What is average seeing? Yes, sometimes it is terrific, sometimes total sheeit. It should be bought from reputable store, and returned immediately, if something wrong. No tinkering, no attempt to fix. There is only one month to return. For example, I realized that it is sheeit after sending my PHD2 logs to PHD2 support. Then return was problematic.
