Build Houses, Build Businesses, Build Friendships, Build Community, Build Family! We are the Sanchez Family (famchez), and we like to Build! Follow us on our latest journey to turn a forested, waterfront oasis, that was deemed "un-buildable" into a family vacation compound with unique AirBnB suites around the property.

Raising a Family while Building our DREAMS
มุมมอง 3.5K21 วันที่ผ่านมา
It's a Fine Art. We head out to the Island with big hopes of finishing our cabin flooring, but later realize we won't have enough glue. We camp, roast smores & hot dogs, ride skateboards, thrift shop, garage sale, watch movies, go to the beach, and make a little bit of progress on our flooring. All as a family!

We headed out to the cabin, just the two of us, for a little weekend away. We had a fun little date night, but of course we had to get some work done. One weekend at a time!
We Bought Flooring on Craigslist and got SCAMMED!

We haul a couch and a bunch of flooring out to the cabin, and decide to start flooring the bunk house upstairs. When we open the boxes of flooring we bought, things take a turn for the worse!

Irrelevant to the video per say , however I used to skate at the MUK years ago and Jordan was always the nicest, most cleanest skater there and it is absolutely awesome to see him transition to being a professional skater to having a wonderful family. This comment might not directly reflect to the current content output but damn it’s amazing to see someone grow and age gracefully with a support wife and kids. Nothing but respect a massive fan pre “splash” good luck with house and wish nothing but success for your future endeavors
Damn dude thank you for the kind words. The Muk days were a great time and I really liked skating with all the locals there. I am beyond blessed and thankful for the life Anah and I have built together. Thank you for the support and good luck to you as well in this crazy world! -Jordan
You’re right-gluing flooring down sucks!…but so worth it to have no squeaks. Thanks for sharing your journey!
So worth it! Thanks for following our journey!
Thanks for being willing to share, really helps us evaluate it ourselves!
Thanks for the support and good luck with your project!
Very interesting. Looking to do somehing similar out here in Colorado. The maps were an awesome touch! Sucks to see the red tape is worse than ever involving property development. Btw great tune at the beginning, never heard of Josh Gilligan before.
Thanks for the comment. There is red tape for sure, but if you can nerd out on the codes you can find a way! Or hire a professional designer. Yeah that song is rad, I think he has a few other god ones as well.
The end 😂
Looking good guys!
😂😂
Yo tambien me pongo sin problema y durante largo tiempo en squat stand.
This is awesome
Muchas gracias por compartir vídeo con nosotros 👍👋😍👏🤝
This Drywell crew is incredibly rast indeed!

Sweet handrail at the end.
Gnardo! Yeah would be good for a tail drop to grind/slide
You are a wonderful family
❤Hello my dear friends. I send you my sincere regards.
That kids funny 😂
Good dad ❤
divorce split up my son and I.. he was 10.. hes now 40s.. I missed his entire life. Enjoy all the time you have with him.
Thanks for the comment, it's a good reminder to slow down and really be present with the kids. Hopefully you and your son have been able to reconnect, but if not there's no time like the present!

Thanks for watching!
This is cuteness overload her daughter is a star
Thank you for the kind words. We sure think so.
That Boy is so sweet
I’m drunk and need help confessing to the girl I like
Maybe sober up then ask her out :-)
Getting closer. another good video. Awesome views! As a roofing business owner for 20years I was wondering if that was gonna be an issue. Cause I always have answers. But this one stumped me. At first I would suggest a roll of ice and water shield 2sq roll $100. Covers everything. But still doesnt solve the problem of flow of water. Maybe a gutter system? Look forward to seeing what you guys come up with.
Looks so good!! Good job guys!
wow fun!!!
Excellent!!
Thank you so much!
Bro are you stupid why would you run the roof rake towards the house your just asking for excessive water build up, get some work experience little man
getting closer....need longer videos. cant wait till its finished and see the final product.
😮😂
I feel bad for her she went straight into the glass
Hey dude love watching your guys’ progress. I work for Island Sash and door in Freeland not too far from you guys. If you ever need anything windows/ doors related or just need another carpenter hand on a weekend hit me up! Love to help you guys out if I can!
That’s awesome man! Thanks for supporting our channel and for this comment. Really appreciate it. I’ll keep you in mind brotha!
I’ll keep that in mind if I decide to become an architect 🦷 0:55
Why did i think that was moist critical
wrap the house with a synthetic roof underlayment. you get 10sq for one roll. cheap, easy and water repels off. I think most have a 90 day exposure. tyvek wrap sucks haha. Until you get the exterior done. Looking awesome. Black roof looks really sharp.
Thanks for the advice. That’s a great idea for a house that will sit for quite a while without siding. We will do tar paper and hardie panel here soon, so stay tuned. I agree, Tyvek sucks
thx for the breakdown, based on overall value I agree 170ish is not bad at all. May I ask what location are you guys in? Heard Jordan say island? Catching up on vids, looking freaking awesome! Keep up the good work. Married for 10 years?
We are in Whidbey Island, Washington. Thanks for the support man! Close, married for 13 years 😅
@@famchezbuilds Holy smokes what a location, awesome!!
Well ok…
I’m from the Bellingham area and this looks to be somewhere in the PNW if I had to guess.
Cool man, I used to be heavy into skating ( still cruise the parking lot across the street sometimes for fun busting an assortment of no-comply variations and grinding the red curbs lol) and I also plan on building a house (cabin) on a plot of land in Northern Cali....I'll sub to your channel for motivation, cheers🍻 P.S. what's your name (if your trying to stay anynomous don't worry about it) and who did you ride for?? If you were pro I probly heard of you before...
Piebald. Not albino. Beautiful anyway.
Good to know! The locals call him/her albino. 🤷♀️
@@famchezbuilds most do. It's bad thing to be a piebald. You stand out. Notice the limp? It's worse for albino because they'll usually have vision issues as well.
@@pigdaddy95 I noticed the limp ☹️ poor thing.
