    This is really helpful. Our new flat has this two channel programmer but seemingly only a heating function from the boiler (it has heating and hot water switches but it’s all controlled by the heating???) Why would we turn off the heat (or water) at any time if it’s thermostat controlled anyway? I’m sorry I just can’t wrap my head around it. We work from home so maybe that’s for people who leave during the day or have more consistent routines than ours? It seems we should just have ours on continuous since at least one of us is almost always home, right?

      Since you're always home you should be fine. Programmable thermostats is mainly designed if your consistently away. It also makes life easier in general.

    For hot water is having it on for 20mins each time okay or is that not long enough for it to heat up ?

    • @JYHeatingTec
      @JYHeatingTec 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To be safe, I'd set it between 30mins - 1hour. It also depends on the usage of the hot water

    Can you just switch it on and off without setting the timer

    • @JYHeatingTec
      @JYHeatingTec 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @SuperStevie70 Yes you can. On the switch where you can go to off, timed, once and on, turn it to "on" for continued use, then "off" to switch it off
