Yrs ago i did a huge Christmas show with hand painted work, i had 700 pieces, 2 gentlemen walked right in and took photos of all my work it was so hurtful as these were soooo time consuming and all original vintage santas i never did another show its sad

Same thing happened to me. One of the bigger TH-camrs has my couch and coupon haul and me in her videos!! TH-cam is not helping me deal with her at all.

I recently discovered someone created a company with the same name as mine with different spelling, same logo concept and even the same font a few months after registering my DBA. Same product market too. I didn’t trademark and haven’t launched yet. I only posted some sneak peaks on ig and TikTok. I’m so sad. Been working on it for a long time. Guess I just have to start over with a new name. This time I’m trademarking and not sharing anything online until then.

I did e-commerce for 22 years…had to finally quit for my sanity. This is a losing battle…always has been, always will be. I recommend shifting your focus to brand building to prepare it to sell. Early retirement baby!

This is awful & lazy on the other person part! Someone stole all my pictures on instagram and used it and was contacting my friends and family trying to sale products. I reported it to instagram and they gave still not contacted me back

They should have contacted and asked for pointers on how to take great pics for their business. I really despise people that short cut everything, want accolades and recognition for work they didn’t do, all while putting out a crappy product. Sorry this happened but thanks for sharing with us…❤️

This is where legal needs to get involved, that is seriously messed up and it is theft on multiple levels. Go get them if you haven't already started that process please do it and shut down all those accounts of theirs too. Maybe do an image search through Google to see what all populates, hopefully it's nowhere else and you've been able to identify its soul source. Sending all the best wishes!

Unfortunately, many creators are victims of these types of scams. If they don't hack your account, they take your pictures and content and pass it off as their own, offering inferior products and services. And when the customers get scammed from these impersonators, the genuine creators and business owners take the fall. And worse, sometimes it's difficult to report them and get them removed. The internet is being flooded with these scammers and seems we can't stop them. We have to find ways to protect ourselves and our work, and so that customers will have the knowledge to tell which is real and which is fake.

It would be better if you showed what it is you saw for us to get a better idea of the extent of plagiarism

This just came across my feed 😢 I’m so sorry this happened to you, sadly it happens every day. The amount of time & effort that goes into stealing someone else’s content, could easily be used to MAKE THEIR OWN & it’s very stupid on their part. They think that they are taking the easy way out, but in all actuality they are creating their own demise from the very beginning. It’s called KARMA & she’s a real B****! Karma pays a visit every single day to many, I’ve seen it happen too many times. Keep your chin up, you will be rewarded in the end, that too is called Karma, she can be a good B**** as well 😉

Hi. So sorry you went through this. (1.) Not going to lie. I have blog-utilized a couple of people’s photos, but WITH links to their sites. I always, always give credit to others. Most people were appreciative. One person was not so, I immediately removed her stuff. This wasn’t enough for her. She wanted compensation so, I heard from her lawyer. Truthfully, I had no fear, but I still asked several photographers I knew about how they usually proceed with this type of situation. They said that because I publicly gave the person credit that they should have been happy. Then, once I removed the photos, that that should have been it. I received a few more emails from both of them. I didn’t respond then, nothing more happened. Having said all that, your anecdote really sounds like theft, to me. (2.) Yes, I’ve told people not to place their watermark in the bottom corner of a photo(!). Getty always places its watermark “bar” about 2/3 of the way down the photo AND 2/3 of the way, right across all photos. Great luck. Peace🌬️🌤️.

There is a setting to not allow others to use your reels and posts on Instagram. I’m not sure about TH-cam. If it is not selected permission is already given to the public to use your reels and stories as their own or incorporate them into their accounts. Make sure the setting is set up to not allow the public to use your content. How sad and pathetic that this happened!

don't worry the people themselves will release how bad they are once they bought their products, if they are lazy with creating their own content for their business then they be lazy to make good products too! I be opening my food restaurant too, and this is definitely one of my biggest concerns.

The see could be scamers from another country, using your company to get money from people. They do it with a number of different businessss.
