Self Regulating (From the Jaeger/Sullivan Return To Throwing Manual)
มุมมอง 28010 หลายเดือนก่อน
The ultimate guide to "how much", "how far" and for "how long" you throw for is completey up to YOU. Self-Regulation means to start out with a blank slate each day and "Listen To Your Arm", and "Trust Your Instincts". Only your arm knows what it wants and needs each day!
Crowhoping vs Shuffling (From the Jaeger/Sullivan Return To Throwing Manual)
มุมมอง 34010 หลายเดือนก่อน
Every throw you make for the rest of your life can either be with optimal support of your body, or not. Crow Hopping allows your body and the ground forces to take the majority of the brunt of your throw, rather than your arm. Crow-Hopping, like a wave, allows your arm to be along for the ride. Shuffling can position the arm to "trail", and take on more of the brunt than necessary.

One of Alan's strength has been teaching others to be independent learners. Being able to self-regulate focuses on learning more about how you function and maximizing that. Keep learning and you become your own best pitching coach!

Maintaining symmetry is extremely important! I had a kid come to me who had only worked out his throwing side. Made him do exercises on both sides and in 3 weeks he was back on the field again. His spine was all out of whack when he got to me. Yes, symmetry is very important!
