►Excerpts from the composer's program notes;
“Mitsudomoe may be an unusual title. While composing this work for guitar and harpsichord, the image of three hands came to mind - the harpsichordist's two hands and the guitarist's right hand.
The three comma-shaped figurative symbol, mitsudomoe, which is the origin of the family crest in Japan, is also painted on the bass drum used in gagaku, ancient Japanese court music. It can be interpreted as an image of swirling water, as well as a symbol of a fire extinguisher. The word “mitsudomoe (three-way)" also has the meaning of a struggle between three opposing forces, but the tripod of the three legs suggests a sense of balanced support.
In today's unbalanced world of polarization and conflict, what if there is a third force that can bring greater harmony? The desire to wait for it is what gave this piece its title.”

Einfach nur schreklich. Unglaublich.
Bravo! 🇧🇷
stunning performance. it feels as though I've just come out of a coma
Amazing ❤ this is so clean 😮
Bravo!
quelle grâce !
magnificent! thank you Yamashita-san.
amazing
I am 71 years old and have played the guitar since age 13. I have heard the Chaconne played by many incredible guitarists as well as the best violinists, pianists and even accordionists. I have never heard a better performance - this playing brought tears to my eyes. As we say in Greek Άριστος, Άριστος!!!
The piece is correctly described as "from the violin partita". But in the way she's playing it there is an impression, as if it was actually being played on a violin. Stunning technic and perfect clarity of these super-fast played horribly difficult 32-notes’ scales. Really nice. Only the slower parts could be less “romantic” and more lyric. But that’s that matter of personal taste. Anyway, bravo!
Whose arrangement is?
Beyond perfection! 👏👏👏
arigatou gozaimasu !
I am sure this is the best Bach´s Chaccone in the guitar I´ve ever heard. Everything very clean and balanced, truly impressive,
Just incredible.
This is bad ass.
The deepest levels of artistry.
Wow!!! What a wonderful performance! What a wonderful interpretation!
I prefer her version to her dad's!!

Wonderful, but I think the end of the second part in D major as transcribed by Segovia is better. She played differently, reducing the effect it could have
Guitar goddess
Bach's best in my opinion.
Just one word perfect
Thank you ❤
It's no Segovia transcription? But good, and passages rhythmical more... )
Wow... just wow! So incredibly musical and not mechanical! Bravo... a masterpiece of a performance! ❤
Pure and beautiful. She is utterly absorbed...Ilan Gronich
Bravo! Noble, rhythmic, technical, calm, majestic. A little lack of sustained pauses, but you are magnificent!
Beautiful piece, beautiful performance, beautiful guitar rendition. Everything wonderful. A big like for you!!
Que maravilla!!!
Impressive. She literally merges with her instrument and the music. The result is outstanding artistery..
Wonderful! Playing from the heart with such virtuosity!
Kind of robotic, but then again the 1st version I ever heard on guitar was Segovia
la guitare sonne parfaitement.
I only envy her completely relaxed right hand fingers with perfect controls. Her passions pushing Bach’s beautiful compositions forward from behind instead of using Bach to push forward her own passions. I felt such a respect and love for Bach from this performance.
