A good video!! May I know which option I can use for make gradient to selected area? I’m trying to make a gradient on a hair, I feel a little confused 😢
Probably your best bet is using masks to control where to place the different gradients, and make various, each one on different hair strands. If you know you are gonna do something like that, it's usefull to take it into account, and have all hair UV islands pointing in the same direction, and at the same height if possible, so you can affect a lot of hair strands with just a gradient layer :) hope it helps!
why didn't they just fix their actually broken snap tool lmao. programmer behaviour "let's add another feature cause it's more fun than bug fixing" holy f thanks for the video :)
A much better way is : 0-Add a standard cube 1-Edit Preferences / Addons / PDT (Blender Addon) and enable it 2-Press N to open the Sidebar then select PDT 3-Under PDT View Control : just click on ISOMETRIC => tada... view is perfectly ISOMETRIC 4-Add a camera then CTRL+Alt+0 5-Switch camera to Orthographic 6-Enjoy
f5 dont work
@@m0nt3s47 sorry 5 key on numeric keypad
didn't knew about that addon, sounds great, thanks for sharing!!
so many methods and no way to just click an edge and make a vertex where you clicked :(
nop, sadly :(
Merci bro jeje
really deep program man, thnx for the vid
:) thanks!
Thanks! But isn't there a way to just add a vertex anywhere you want with one click or cut?
Sadly, not that I know of :( I think (at least without add-ons) isn't possible
@@GonzaloM3D are there any free addons that can do that?
Not that I know of, sorry!
@@users5252 its crazy to me because it seems SO obvious and its a hurdle I encounter in my modeling every single day, I cant believe there is no addon for this, or the functionality is not allowed with the knife tool
Very helpful, thank you for breaking this down!
You're welcome, thanks for your comment!
Exactly what I've been looking for. I'm new to Blender, and had seen other video showing quick hot keys but not the functions or the reasoning behind using the 3D cursor. It was well organized, and easy to understand. I appreciate your effort and the time you put into this video. I would make a small suggestion, that is if you can slow down the pace of your speech and add captions to highlight each of the time stamps/chapters. Otherwise thumbs up! And thank you again! 😊
Thanks for your suggestions!!
Thx Bro!!!!
You're welcome!
thanks man, awesome tutorial
thanks for your comment, you're welcome!
Nice tricks thanks
You're welcome :)
TY!
You're welcome!
This is exactly what I needed! Thanks a lot!
Glad it helped!
Best gradient tutorial found!
Thanks, I try, at least :)
What an amazing channel! thanks!!!
Thanks, glad it helped!!
cool
:)
why so fast
Sorry, I'm usually talk fast, I'll try to slow down a bit
Hard to understand your voice. That being said, ANYTHING is better than a synthesized voice
I'm sorry for that. It was because the voice editing, or pronunciation?
Just what I needed. Thanks!
You're welcome :)
If they would have also added this to rotate and scale command … Pick scale rotate center …
It's possible to use it with all transformations, including scale and rotate :)
Once again Adobe fails, this is super time consuming, SP is so garbage for baking to this day...
When they updated the baking interface, the change I wanted the most was to add a fast way to correct skew, like on marmoset, but didn't happen :(
Yep, they've updated the baker in Painter like 5 times since version 1.0 and the damn thing is pretty and sleek and still crap. WHY can we not just paint a skew map in viewport like Marmoset? This is ALL I need to finally drop Marmoset, but Adobe refuses to do it.
Very helpfull Video. Thank you very much!
great tool!!! it was very tricky to snap the vertex I wanted on another vertex, on version 3.6. And very useful your video too. Thanks.
Thanks you for your comment!
Спасибо, очень быстро и понятно! Как же теперь удобно стало с этой фичей
Thanks!
Thanks for the refresh, been along time since I did retopo in blender.
You're welcome, glad it helped :)
fulk your tutorial
Sorry if it didn't help you
This is genuinley such a good tutorial, I've searched through so many tonight for general advice, modifers, and what you do and achieve I feel has taught me the most out of anything. Thank you!
Thanks for your comment, glad it helped you!!
Yes, this is great new feature!
Yeah, definitely!!
Наконец-то запилили эту штуку!!! а то приходилось адоонами CAD transform пользоваться и attach align
Yeah, it's great to have the possibility to do it without external add-ons :) thanks for your comment!
Thank you, I'm just starting with the retopology of my sculpting and it helped me a lot to discover new tools! :D
Glad that you found it usefull, thanks!
This is amazing. You can paint your model's shadows in grayscale and then easily add color to it, for example dark purple for shadows and blue for illuminated places. Thank you for your video!
Yeah, that's also a great option, thanks you for comment!
underrated channel, very useful info! thx bro!
Thanks, you're welcome!!
Why, in this case, are the Gradient Curve and Gradient Dynamic filters needed? You didn't say anything about them.
I wanted to create short videos explaining everything about a filter, so the info is more condensed and then people can think how they work with those tools, so that's why I only talked about gradient filter, and didn't mention the gradient curve and dynamic, as those are different filters. But in this case, as the names are so similar, I could have mentioned them, I'll take it into account for future videos. Btw, gradient curve and dynamic are a bit different, less commonly used, as they are ways to control values on B&W gradients, instead of using them to create colours for a layer. Thanks for your comment!
I heard about mixing the averaged and non-averaged normal data, to fix skew issues, but it's nice to see how straight forward it is using Substance Painter. Almost like in Marmoset :) Thanks for the information.
It's a bit more messy, but still very easy when you know the workflow :) Also I like the quality of the substance baker, I want to try and compare marmoset and substance bakers
Clear, quick, and concise. Good tutorial thankyou.
Thanks a lot for your comment!!
I was wondering how a gradient map could be set up in S3DP. Thank you! Well done!
No problem, thanks for your comment!
Buen vídeo!
Gracias!
