มุมมอง 5935 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this tutorial I am showing you how to use transfer paper to transfer your artwork onto watercolor paper. It's important to use this method so you don't spend a lot of time erasing on your beautiful, textured watercolor paper. Erasing on watercolor paper removes the texture you need to soak in the water and paint. I highly recommend this method for more details painting where you know your sk...

My first time watching your tutorial. Easy to follow. Lovely finished poppies. I will try painting poppies later today.
@@cathylamontagne7892 thank you so much!
Beautiful! I have been searching for art prints of nasturtiums to go with my orangey red cushions, as I love nasturtiums. I hope to give this a try
@@josieclaridge4798 thank you! I also have art prints in my Etsy shop! Etsy.com/shop/LavenderAndSea
Peaceful w/o music ,I've learned a lot more in the way one can paint as in the length of time 😊 thank you 😊
Thank you for letting me know and thanks for watching!
It’s lovely! I never thought of using just one color! I have to give this a try!
It's amazing what one color can do :)
Perfect tutorial.
Thank you!
The way you draw it's really looks like they are having fun ..😊
Your comment made my day! Haha Thank you 🎉❤
This is gorgeous! Have you done this to hang on a champagne class? I am looking for escort card for a microwedding.
@@YeseniaCrespo-e1v yep we’ve hung them on champagne glasses easily
I'm looking for a method to add Halloween lettering to my car that can be easily washed off the following day. Do you have any ideas on how to accomplish this? I'm sure the masking will work for lettering, but what to use in place of the water color over auto paint? OR, maybe a white water based substance that can be removed to expose individually created letters. What might that substance mix be?
Hi! I WOULD NOT put masking fluid on your car. Perhaps look into safe pens for writing on your car, I'm not sure what they would be as I don't write on my car
Flowers are the wee white heads the colourful outter are bracts , we have plenty here in Western Australia tho came from South America hope helpful . thanks for informative class , just found you
Thanks so much for that! And thank you for watching :)
Do you offer classes on line?
Hi! Thanks for reaching out to me. I have just under 100 watercolor videos on my TH-cam channel, I also have several courses but they focus on other things, you can find those here: www.lavenderandsea.com/blog and I also have my Skillshare content that you can also find on that page :)
Great tutorial. Beautifully rendered flowers and leaves.
Thank you!
❤thank you for your tutorial. I prefer without background music , for me, it is too distracting. This is perfect.
Thank you so much for mentioning that! It's really helpful for me, and thank you for watching! :)
Cool shroooooms! ❤
Lovely. These Cosmos look great! ❤
I love this. You are a good teacher.
Thank you! And thank you for painting with me :)
This has to be one of the best quick tutorials about depth for beginners. Please, do more like this, you're amazing!
I am so happy to hear this! Thank you for sharing, I'll do my best to upload more videos like this one!
I agree... Molotow are the Best 💎
They are so amazing!
Im on a Mac as well but every time i us command T it gives me a new tab.
This was very helpful to me as a beginner. This is a great demonstration. Thank you!
I'm so glad it was helpful, thank you for watching!
Hi! What kins of paper did you use?
Hi! I mention it in the video :)
Its good if its a basic shape but doesnt work for strange forms
Yes that's what the tutorial is for, a basic shape! You got it! YEAH!
Very beautiful
Thank you! 🤗
This is new for me. Im trying to make a mockup for a ceramic round car coaster with a notch. I am so lost. Does anyone have a suggestion on where to start. I have Photoshop, but i rarely use it. Thanks.
Just trace your image where you want to put your mockup on using pen tool (change the option from Path to Shape on the top menu bar).
Hi! What are your recommendations for sealing a chalk sign once it’s complete? And what’s then best product to get it off say a company would like to update the sign after some time? Also, if I’m doing a sign with POSCA pen’s and it’s going to be outside on the street, will the rain make the pen run if I don’t use a sealant on it? Thankyou so much x
what paper are u using?
My very favorite Arches www.amazon.com/dp/B01B203ZRG?linkCode=spc&tag=onamzlavend0a-20&creativeASIN=B01B203ZRG&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.3SLQIBKA9ZHED&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_mixed_d_asin
@@NikkiHess thanks
This video was very helpful...Thank you!
So happy it was helpful, thanks for watching!
Hmm, interesting technique, could you not just draw over the print out, tape it together so that both parts line up then flip that over and just rub over the whole surface to transfer the graphite, half the materials less time tracing?
Sure you could try this, but my concern would be the printer ink ending up on my watercolor paper
@@NikkiHess right on, valid concern, thanks
By the way I liked your video but the likes still say 0. Just FYI.
Wow that is so strange, thank you for letting me know!
I have used this technique for years and I agree it works great. Have a great week.😊
It's such a great method! Before I would destroy my paper erasing haha
great tutorial thanks love nasturtiums cant wait to have a go
You are so welcome!
Loved this. Just what I was searching for, layering and glazing for nasturtiums.
Thank you for watching and I am so happy to hear it was just what you were looking for :)
This was extremely helpful! Thank you
I'm so happy to hear that!
Very helpful Nikki
I'm so happy to hear you found it helpful!
I'm like everyone else, I've searched for HOW to make a smart object psd mockup, not how to USE one! I've found a few now, I like yours. However, there's one step I'm not getting in any of the videos -- how do you delete the "jpg" portion from the photo (like in a frame, removing the "picture" part of the frame)? I draw my rectangle, then I'm lost. I know how to convert the smart object etc, but I CANNOT remove the photo part making it a PNG to place my photo. What's the secret, I want to pull my hair out, I've wasted so much time on trying to figure this out. I need several square frame mockups and I can't find any that I like or that I want to spend as much as they're asking!
I would just cover up the image in the frame with a rectangle that is the same size, then merge that down onto the original image. THEN I'd put another rectangle and make that a smart object. That way the image that was in your original photo is covered.
Thank you so much for sharing the video. It has brought confidence in me to paint my favourite flowers
I am so happy to hear that!
Nikki, it’s “swatch”, not “swash”.
Very cool I am trying to repaint a 1953 General Electric refrigerator emblem and came across this. This fluid might work thank you for uploading.
Oh interesting, not sure if it will work for that but good luck! I've only ever used it on paper
So stinking cool about the octopus!
It was the COOLEST thing!
I'd surely spend the entire Winter in that cozy cabin!!! I've been meaning to do a cozy cabin scene for a card too. And I'm a Kitty Momma myself, so all the things have to be put away because I'd have tiny paw prints on my paper come morning time 😅
I know isn't it So COZY! So funny that your cat has to be all up in your business when you paint. I grew up with cats and I can attest to that 😂 Hope you get a chance to paint it, it's a great tutorial. Share your work on instagram and tag me if you do! I love to see it 😀
Nice artwork Would you make a video of your *sketchbooks* ? Thank you
Oh I love this idea! Yes I can definitely do that
U can use a whitboard marker to sketch on mirrors first
Thank you...liked the demo on the shading. Love shading.
Thank you!
I recently started watching your videos. I do enjoy and I’m learning so much. You explain every step so beginners understand I’ve have struggled getting mistletoe to work but now I may be able to succeed 😊 thank you
Hi Diane, your message makes me so happy, thank you for watching my videos and I am very happy to hear that they are helping!
Love your tu Toril
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Hello artist! You created a cool piece of art! Great art work! Inspiration to you in creating new beauty! With a smile, Mr. Hi! :)
Thank you so much!
The pink are the bracts and the flowers are the little cream-colored ones in the center :).
Oh awesome, thank you so much for telling me!
