Instrumental guitar music is my passion, and my point of focus.
My "Ninjametal" combines elements of Classic Rock, Blues, Thrash Metal, and Grunge with other more alternative stylings and inclusion of my favorite Japanese scales. ...I've been self-producing music for a couple decades, and have produced a ton of independent music for myself and friends. The experimental nature of my audio explorations (with guitar at the helm) isn't for everyone; but if you are into long improvised solos, songs that sound like long solos, and observing a martial artist applying concepts rooted in Ninjutsu to aid in improvising high gain mayhem, you've found the right channel. Make yourself at home, friends!

About this original tune: These riffs I worked out while focusing on balancing contrasts of rhythms while maintaining flow of melodic lines. There are some difficult picking passages, and it was a fun project. After double-tracking guitar and bass, I decided to this tune the service of giving it a decent mix. The individual sounds are pretty dialed, and the jazzy, yet heavy sounding drums were ...

This original tune was a new level of challenging ( as well as rewarding) for me. I hope you dig it; and thanks for checking out my music! #ninjametal #metalguitar #thrashmetal #guitarist #gibsonlespaul #original #heavymetal

This original tune has the rawness I try to capture without getting too sloppy with my picking. It's funky, doomy, and was a lot of fun to riff on. Thanks for checking out my music! #guitarist #original #ninjametal #doom #hardrock #heavymetal #electricguitar #epiphone

I'm pretty proud of this original as a composition/arrangement, and I feel like I'm getting closer to the soundscapes in my head that I've been infinitely chasing... Thanks for checking out my music! #guitarist #metal #lespaul #original #ninjametal #rock #thrash #guitar

Miyamoto Musashi (16th century samurai undefeated in over 60 duels) taught that the key to living a life without regrets is taking accountability for one's choices/actions/mistakes. By owning everything one does, only lessons are carried away. When living in high enough vibration, those stuck in their shadows keep themselves hidden; and their projecting, deflecting, and misdirection only fools ...
Pretty cool. Few great ideas in here. Keep Jamming, and Take Care 👍😁👍
@@jamesfetcho6315 Thank you so much, my friend! I'm glad you dig it, and I hope you're doing well!
Make some more!!
@@StephenBerg-x2w Thank you, I shall!
While I liked it all my favorite part was 0:14 - 0:35 , and when you repeated this. Great Job, Keep Jamming, and Take Care 👍😁👍
@@jamesfetcho6315 Thank you, James! The part you like most (notewise) is the Japanese Iwato scale, but there's a cool rhythmic shift in that section as well. Take care, and keep jamming yourself!
@@Ninjametal 👍😁👍
Holy shit man. That V is sic and sounds rad! I had to look up Zemaitis. Very cool shit. Oh yeah, that riff was bad as f**k too. Keep it up man. Glad to see you're evolving past the days when Vs were for the 'sheepeople'. Hahaha.
@@pandcmitchell Thanks man, glad you dig it! Zemaitis are popular in Japan, but not so many of them here in the states. Most have etched aluminum tops or intricate pearl inlays. Mine has the sandblasted ash top. And I feel misquoted there, as I usually say "sheeple" haha, besides playing a Jackson Rhodes V for a long while. This Zemaitis has none of the flaws my Jackson had, plus has a gig bag that isn't the size of a Buick.
@Ninjametal . right, sheeple. I remember now, lol. I remember a conversation about Kerry and Mustain once where you were trashing Vs and more importantly, Dean. Something of that nature...
@@pandcmitchell That sounds 100% like me haha
Gnarly!
@@紅鬍子 Thank you!
Reminds me of the Quake 2 soundtrack.
@@jocopowell Not familiar with that, but thank you for your comment!

Dug this. Especially about 1:13 - 1:36. I really really liked that...Keep Jamming, and Take Care My Friend 👍😁👍
Thank you, James! (I like that section too)
I really dig that main riff. Well done My Friend, Take Care, and Keep Jamming. 👍😁👍
Thank you, my friend! I appreciate that, and I'm glad you like it! The algorithm is stomping on my content, haha
@@Ninjametal It's suck, and that's a fact...., but don't let it get You down.
@@jamesfetcho6315Thanks, James! I don't let it discourage me, and at least yt shorts get my music out to people when my full length vids are getting suppressed

@@CherryCC239 Thank you! That's very kind
Lots of cool stuff in here, and I Love the Title. Thats what its all about....getting what You hear in your head. Take Care, and Keep Jamming 👍😁👍
@@jamesfetcho6315 Thank you so much! I agree making music is about turning the musical ideas in our heads into something that can be shared with others!
Loved the way you timed all that with the drum track. Truly unique and must have been difficult my friend. Harmonics were badass too!
Thank you so much, man! I really appreciate that. It was difficult, but a lot of fun too!
I think you desperately need an awesome white ESP strat bro! Probably next to impossible to find one though...
@@pandcmitchell I don't even remotely want such when I'd rather play my blond strat, and yeah those ESP's with Floyd Rose and single coils are pretty rare
I came back to listen again. I think this the best one so far. Needs more views.
@@jamesfetcho6315 Thank you so much, that really means a lot! I am working towards more complex and worked out tunes like this, so even if the algorithm is throwing shade, I feel I'm on the right track
@@Ninjametal Exactly 👍😁👍
awesome man wish i could play like this
@@gracelugo8 Thank you so much!
I dug this. I was just thinking its been a while for You to post something. Is it an original???
@@jamesfetcho6315 Thank you nmy friend! Yes, it's an original, you're right! And I've been working on more complex arrangements like this that are slower to produce, but I've also been more busy than usual haha
@@Ninjametal well it was worth it👍
That guitar rips man. Wow. Reminds me of the "Destroyer" days on steroids. They got one at the store in Mandan for like $1500. You shoulda kept that bitch.
Nice work! 🎶🎸🗡
@@zokkb986 Thank you so much!
Those pickups sound sic man!
Thanks man! Pedals figure in a lot to this particular tone
The original kick ass guitar solo. Happy 4th of July
@@Nanotick1 Indeed! And you as well!
Happy birthday freedom
That bass track sounds badass man. 🤘
Thank you!
Not a musician and I thought it was pretty rad. Ramp up was Lil slow but you nailed the timing about as good as anybody I listen to. 👍🤘🤘
Thanks man! Some tunes take longer to establish the structure. With all the short form content I make, I don't rush my original pieces And you're a musician- just one that oughta play more haha
I liked the whole thing, but my favorite lick was at about 3:25. That sounded sweet, and I dug that little vibrato there. Keep Jamming, and Take Care My Friend 👍😁👍
Thank you so much! I appreciate it, and take care as well, my friend!
Two guitars, man. 2 to get that haunting Slayer sound. This is the way.
Yep!
I was wondering where the hell you were going... then, pow! Very well done, sir.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it. The intro series of bends sets up the structured section
Thank you, my friend! I dig Brocas Helm, so that is awesome!
Very Cool. There is some stuff between 0:29 , and 2:40 something that reminds me of Brocas Helm. Very well done, and great job. Keep Jamming, and Take Care 👍😁👍
👍🏻😊🎁👍🏻😊
I wish I was behind them drums...Sawshas there...Fox is there...Joel is there...
I'm still there, man
Great build. Loved the first solo and the nasty riffage transition close to the end. Rad bro.
Thanks man! I appreciate that, and I'm glad you dug it
I enjoyed it all, but that little lick from about 2:35 - 2:39 was really cool. Take Care, and keep Jamming. 👍😁👍
Thank you so much, my friend! I appreciate your input and kind words
Great Job My Friend. 👍😁👍
Thank you, James!
Those controled pinch harmonics are so raunchy
Many thanks!
That's my favorite way to incorporate them myself. A real harmonic kind of snarl.

For sure, it's easy to dial up Angus tones with those building blocks! Thank you for your comment!
Prettty good bro .❤
Thanks!
Your welcome keep on rocking bro.
Dug it all, but really liked it after about 2:30 part. Keep Jamming, and Take Care 👍😁👍
Thank you for your valuable input, James! The tune is a slow burn up until the point you mentioned, where it shifts up. I'm happy you liked it
@@Ninjametal Oh yes definitely....that part I liked wouldn't have been nearly as effective if it wasn't for the other parts leading into it.
I love the tones you can get without EMGs in that LP man, killer. Also, you must be getting some good sessions in, your chops are feelin' extra crispy. Keep it up!
Thank you man! You've heard a lot of my playing, so that holds extra meaning. The tone is mostly testament to my gear's capabilities, and I have been practicing as much as possible when I have time to do so.
Right at the climax of the first solo, my motz sticks explodedall over the air frier in such a spectacular fashon, it sounded like little fireworks going off in the recording, hahaha. Rad solo man.
Hahaha great coincidence, bad mess in the air fryer Thank you!
The last album of slayers classics After this too much KK and less Jeff The riffmaster hanneman.
I agree!
I enjoyed the whole thing, but I really liked how the 1:09 - 1:30 fit in well....and the last part 2:57 to the end also. Great Job, Keep Jamming, and Take Care My Friend 👍😁👍
Thank you so much! The first section I designed as sort of a bridge to break up the main parts, and the end I am happy with as well! I appreciate your feedback, my friend!

SLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very cool. Jimi Hendrix will always be great in My eyes, and ears. Axis Bold as Love is a Masterpiece......just as one example. Great Job My Friend. Keep Jamming, and Take Care 👍😁👍
Thank you, my friend! I so agree. I love Jimi's "Axis" (song and second album) as well as "Electric Ladyland" I routinely return to studying Hendrix's playing because his phrasing was so great
@@Ninjametal Exactly the same here. Although listening to Me I doubt people can tell. LoL 😂.
@@jamesfetcho6315Hendrix phrasing is applicable to any guitarist, and your playing is cool! Don't sell yourself short
Lmao the pick ninja star throw at the end made me giggle 🤣 Can you talk more about how you go from inspiration about a complex concept into making your music? It’s really interesting This was really great as usual! Thank youuuuu
Thank you! The process is much like songwriters penning lyrics, only I turn life's inspiration into melodies of notes instead of melodies of words. I start with some musical ideas, develop them into structure with guitar, track a rhythm section of digital drum sounds, and track my preliminary guitar ideas on bass. Then comes the part shown in my videos, where I record a guitar performance that draws further upon my initial inspiration point through improvisation. (I don't think many of my viewers are interested in such, but I hope my explanation helped illuminate)
