How I Directed an Award Winning Short Film (Director's Journal)
I’m sharing what it was like to direct my first short film-an experience that ended up winning awards but was full of lessons along the way. Using my journal entries, I’ll talk about what worked, what didn’t, and how I tackled some of the biggest challenges.
In the video:
- Breaking down key scenes, from intimate moments to action sequences.
- Keeping actors comfortable and performances natural.
- The creative workarounds we used on a tight budget.
- What I learned about directing and trusting the process.
If you’re into filmmaking or just curious about what goes on behind the camera, I hope this gives you some insight. Let me know what you think-I’d love to hear about your experiences too.
