Thanks for the comment, I remember seeing you going down the pits at one point, whilst talking to the other blue (R53) MIni drivers that were there, and we spoke about how nice your car was (as one of them used to have one). Sorry to hear that something broke on your car, par for the course with trackdays it seems 😒an excuse to improve it + better clutch? 😁

@@webdesignengineeringservic6515 Thanks for the heads up. My car ran into a few issues and I've been prepping for stage 2+, which is booked for 13th September. I'll be looking to do a track day shortly after that (if the clutch holds up).

Hi Andrew, thought I recognised the name :) At the beginning of the year I did a Power 2 Weight competition (with no thought on winning it, i'm not that rich) but for the money got a RR session and weighing too, so my results were 1264kg (with a 64% - 35% F-R weight distribution and 49.8% - 50.2% L - R weight distribution). With no driver. I think as standard the Cupra R's are around 1400kg. Thank You.

Hey Matt, there was no getting in the way, you were very courteous :) It's not all about the money, you were running round quite well from what I remember. It's around 245 bhp (so a good guess), but is also stripped out, much like your merc if I remember correctly. Gives a few more expensive cars a run for their money :)

Webdesign Engineering services.co.uk Hi mate. It's Great video. The Seat sounds great with the Turbo whistle. I've done a fair bit over the summer and back to try and beat my 1.01 lap time. New charger pulley and stripped a bit more. Seat and harnesses. I should be running 230 Bhp but like you say it does give a lot of grief to almost everything there. Are you booked in any more days ?

Funny you ask, i'm there in a week and a half (24th Oct) for its last run out this year. Keep resisting the urge to spend more making it go faster and spend more on improving traction as power is not such an issue at the moment, traction is. Put a driver harness in the Seat for the last time was out in Aug. and makes a massive difference to confidence, love them. Race Seats yet to go in though, so a winter project.

Yes brave or hope, not sure which :) to be honest was hitting 111mph constanly at end of straight but my brother was hitting 114 mph in his more powerful Impreza and I like a challenge so was determined to brake later. Its not in the footage but I did try braking at the 1 board once and only just made the corner! nowhere near the apex and no faster either.

No problem, got a ton of footage not had time to review. Think I need an LSD! as on paper i'm running similar power (248bhp @ flywheel), plus have stripped around 50kg out of car, 4 pot Brembo's (slightly smaller discs) and my tyres are pretty sticky Federal RSR's but was getting 3rd gear wheel spin out of corners, which hopefully explains why you pulled away rather than my driving skill :0)

Yeha an lsd is good for track stuff although mine will also spin up as you descrube. I wasn't really ppulling away much, only about a second a lap or something. Your driving looked good to me, really liked how aware you were when I came past you :)
