@@IndraHennautpues por tomar ese tipo de decisiones los alquileres no dejan de subir en Barcelona. Así que “gracias” a extranjeros como vosotros, Barcelona cada día va a peor en cuanto a precios del alquiler.

Hola Leon, mucho gusto - los precios de alquiler en Barcelona son una locura, lo sé... no solo para los locales, sino también para nosotros los extranjeros... definitivamente se aprovechan de esto. Hablo español en todas partes fuera de mi propia casa, pero como no planeo vivir aquí para siempre, el español es suficiente por ahora. No hay necesidad de ser tan grosero con alguien que ni siquiera conoces. No creo que si vivieras en Bélgica durante un año, pudieras hablar flamenco / holandés en todas partes, lo cual es perfectamente normal y tampoco te juzgaría por esto.

Hiiiii thanks for reaching out <3 I completely agree and I am very well aware - the rental prices here in Barcelona are just RIDICULOUS, I know - and they just keep on rising… I’m very well aware that we are overpaying and we are definitely looking at other options for the future as we do not like paying this amount to someone every month when we know we can find better elsewhere. It’s a complete joke. I am also getting worried about this entire industry as Barcelona is not the only city (or Spain as a country) this is happening… It’s happening across the world. It did come with a dishwasher, but without a fridge / washing machine… Let’s both pray the prices will not continue to rise in general! 🤍

​@@IndraHennaut Yes, I completely get it. Yes, the no kitchen appliances is so normal and to me also very scammy!! A tip I would give you is to improve your spanish/catalan( I dont know what your current level is) as much as you can. Mention it then in Spanish/Catalan here and there everywhere you go, even to the guy at the fruiteria. All the 'cheap' good places I found here was through that method haha. The average landlord really abuses the fact that we are 'outsiders'. And your Belgian, do you speak Vlaams?

@ hey there, actually I do speak very good Spanish (just not on my channel as my main audience has English as first language) - my partner and I both communicated (and still do) in Spanish with the rental agency, landlord. We only use English at home and outside we only speak Spanish with locals. The reason why we don’t want to start learning Catalan is because we are not thinking of living here long term or building a family here! 🤍 However, of course, they can see that we do not look like Spanish/Catalan people and from the moment you sign and give passport details - they definitely know 100% we are not! I do speak Vlaams, what about you? Where do you live?
