Congrats on the collab! May I ask how it came to be? I am a Czech bodhrán player and I am planning to buy the felt tipper and tipper bag soon, probably even today! :)
I have already received my FigBag along with a FigFelt tipper a few days ago. I´m absolutely happy with both, highly recommended to every player. I really wonder why nobody has transferred the idea of the kitchen knife roll bags used by chefs to bodhrán tipper bags so far - at least as a ready made product. The material and craftsmanship are top notch.
Hi Nicole from jamie Geelong VIC Australia
So cool! Congratulations on the release!!
You are such a good teacher.
Congratulations on a lovely line of items!
Superb, I have just inherited a couple from my friend who has recently died, I intend to learn them and keep his memory alive through playing them…
Great product reveal! I love the many locales - a world-class signature drum that’s going to be played around the world.
Iontach agus maith sibh👍👍
i enjoy your teaching style. I would like to know what brand and size of drum you are using in this video, I love the sound. This would be my first bodhran
I wish there was more from this session!
Excellent Nicole
I’m just starting , thank you for making this.
Beter and beter!
well done.
well done ! 🫶🏼
That bird is 100% irish 🤣
Bless you amazingnice❤❤❤❤
❤
Hola Nicolle!! Sabes de alguna sesium en la ciudad de mexico? PD.: See you in london it Fiarock ;)
Your husband must be so blessed🥰hope he is playing an Instrument, too
Funny but I was thinking of this Máirtín O’Connor track featuring Colm Murphy even before you mentioned him! I love his playing here. It also features Dónal Lunny’s wonderful bouzouki-playing. I never quite realised how much technique there is in playing. It’s not just a case of ‘beating the bodhrán’.
big big thx for your lessons!
Glad that I found your TH-cam, @harpinhankhogan I love your technique - I might try your grip, too ! Today is great because I found your videos on my sister’s big screen TV. Hank Hogan
Have goosebumps from neck to ankles. First time I heard the pipes as a child my face was covered in happy tears. I was so deeply stirred my parents were alarmed. I didn't have the words then (too young) to explain to them.
Thank you Nicole for the great lesson! I am a pianist, choir director. Thought I would give this a try as we have music with a Celtic Feel in our church repertoire. Harder than I thought. Excellent tutorial!!
Haha, you go to church !
Are jigs and reels dances with specific steps done by dancers?
Nicol, are you Spanish?
Thanks for such clear instructions. Hope many lessons have you published and how can I find them?
So elegant!
Great sound! What microphone did you use?
Wonderfull bless ❤❤❤
Это был хороший урок! Благодарю ☀️
my goodness you are both amazing. you really should do more videos together please, this was fantastic and powerful. thanks for introducing me to this instrument. your playing reminds me much of the way indian tabla players can slide or move their hands around the drum to change the tone produced.
Love it - any chance you could show a clip side on of you playing 'bass/pop' at about 11 minutes, but side on so can see the face of the drum? Id like to see where you are hitting the skin but its hard to see where you are getting the 2 different sounds from -front on it doesn't look like there is much distance between the two locations, but on my drum I have to move about 6 inches and right on to the very edge to get anything like the pop. Anywho - very good - great lessons :)
Thank you! 😁😁😁
I have a question, did you color the accents blue?
Nicolle puts her very soul into it.
Your lessons are the best! So much to learn on this very special instrument!! Thank You!!
what kind of tipper do you use?
Happy days Nicolle. I understand the techniques on creating the different pitches relating to the different rhythm patterns much better now, so thank you for that. Very well explained. It's only a pity that my actual playing still sucks. It has to be said that you have one of the most perfectly radiant smiles I have ever seen which makes me excited to learn. If only my shocking ability matches my enthusiasm, I'm sure that I'd be truly awesome!
Well that was dlightful and vey informative!! Thank you for the clear and easy to follow lesson! I takes aay some of the mystery.
Hey Nicole can you show us how to play this song th-cam.com/video/L-N_0ZnueVY/w-d-xo.html
First tune sounds a lot like "Rocky Road to Dublin"
Is Turkey your homeland?
that was super duper...
Bodhran can get a lot of flak but this is a wonderful demonstration of how much vitality it can be played with, thanks so much for sharing!
Nice & Funny, but i would like to see the mallet and the way of playing with it...
Put down our drum you non-White imposter.
Your surroundings are beautiful. Where in the world is the cottage located
