5 year old riding Snow Summit Bike Park
We took a trip to Snow Summit for Rory's first ride there. We started on the green trail, aptly named "Going Green," which offered a solid 15 minutes of downhill riding. After that, we tackled Blue Steel, an intermediate trail that connects halfway down with Turtle Trail.
It was a great day, and Rory did really well for his first time. We’ll definitely be back before summer ends.

Nice ride! I am looking at buying one for my son. He currently rides an electric dirt bike and I would like him to have something a little more tamer and more flickable. Is that an adult helmet sized small you have? Mine has a dirt bike helmet but it is quite heavy.
@@FSt-Jean yeah, these new Stacyc Elites are awesome. Capable of about 23mph with a 15 tooth sprocket upgrade. The helmet he has on there is a Giro Youth size large I believe. We recently changed to 100% Adult size small.

How old is your child at the time of this video? Do you think this would be a good step towards a dirtbike?
Hi Rich, He was 5 here. And most definitely, this is the perfect step towards bikes. If you see our instagram channel you’ll see the progress from that video 3 months ago today. It’s significant. @rorywmacleod I have a dirt bike for him, but I’ve been in no rush to race him on it. However, we will probably start racing in September. You may have seen but there are Stacyc races if that’s a direction you are thinking about.

As much fun as it looks, these are not allowed on the local trails nor sidewalks in ladera. This enables your child to expect that they can and should ride these electric bikes on our trails, in the future after they grow up I’m all for your little one enjoying their time and learning to ride but you should be instilling better lessons instead of encouraging them that this is will be ok as time goes on.

No, we actually live in Orange County now. Looking forward to round 3 and testing out the new Elite. Although, it means all those point we earned on the 16 are gone. But, we’re just racing for the fun, win or loose. Obviously we prefer to win, but happy either way. 😂👍🏼 I think you guys are in SD? If you ever wanna ride south OC trails, let us know. 👍🏼

Everywhere buddy "Stacyc16" this is elite model. Extra 1500 for the disc bracks and front shock. Over the "Stacyc16E" just get the "E" not elite and buy wheels and forks from JDub for less than 200.
This is the new 16 for 2024? Is it a 40v system, stock front brakes? This is wicked cool!
This is the New 16 Elite. It’s not out until the 8th of March but we got the chance to get one early. I think we will do a full review of it this coming weekend. But, so far, we are really impressed. Feels solid. Disk brakes. Front suspension. Like I say, I’ll put something more comprehensive together this weekend and get it out to you guys. Thank for your comment. 👍🏼
