Though I hate how her bf treated her, he never mistreated her… I felt like he didn’t quite deserve this ending… The second guy definitely manipulated the whole thing into his favor… I think she should leave both of them, I say she is quite selfish and greedy as well just because of her sister’s failing company, she married the second guy… She is quite heartless as a person she hates it when her man does it to her but she is doing the same thing when she no longer loves him so… I don’t like this story very contradicting

Turns out that he loved her and fought with those feelings by tormenting and by denying her physical and verbal affection throughout their marriage. The divorce changed everything.

Nice, quick, tale of redemption of MC; it just so happens that her being her best, most authentic self is punishment for her enemies. The best revenge is to live well.

Here's this incredibly talented and intelligent woman who is completely suppressed by her vain and selfish husband. Because of love, she's forced to live as a secret wife, senior caregiver, housekeeper, and as needed lover while her husband publicly showers all his affection and care on another woman for his acting career. Over a 3-year period, the trash kept telling her to wait one more year and they'll go public about their marriage. Then, when the FL reacted negatively to his announcement of a planned public wedding to his fake actress girlfriend, he berated and demeaned her totally insensitive to her suffering. I'm surprised she didn't go into a rage and kill the husband, his disgusting, ungrateful parents, and fake girlfriend at that point. Liked how the FL pulled herself together, insisted on divorcing the trash, got her revenge, and focused on the career she had abandoned for love.

I love how short the drama was and how the reveal happened fairly quickly. Alex shouldn't have allowed herself to be humiliated, shadowed, bullied, and oppressed. Can you truly blame him for cheating? While cheating is never justified, the more I listen, the sadder I feel. She clearly has detachment and abandonment issues, making me wonder how she usually treated her husband-was it always monotone and devoid of joy and fun? At one point, he is genuinely surprised when she finally gives him a gift-the first one from her, which supposed to arrive three days after her silent departure. That 1st gift is actually a divorce papers!!! This highlights how she usually treated him. After filing for divorce and adopting a new identity, she admitted she loved him before the cheating incident when they met again. After 20 years and divorced comes her confession? The narration shows him surprised and in tears. Her unemotional tone leaves me feeling despondent, just as he must have felt throughout their 20-year relationship. From courtship to end of marriage. I can only imagine their communication and shared interests. It seems to revolve entirely around her, yet I wonder if she has ever done anything for him. I need to hear his perspective and her honest thoughts about herself.

A belief set in stone in China and Asia in general is that blood ties are stronger and truer than love ties. That's why there are so many stories of children betraying trust on their adoptive parents or blood siblings vs. adoptive siblings. These stories always place this card as the plot of the story.
