Peace! Growing up Haitian in Brooklyn during the early 80s was undoubtedly challenging. However, those difficulties brought us together, teaching us the importance of self-love and pride in our heritage. This unity helped us establish boundaries and eventually foster an environment that was the complete opposite of what we once faced. Today, Haitians are loved and respected because we first learned to love and respect ourselves. Sak Pase to all my Haitian massive!

Peace to the podcast, and special acknowledgment to Black Jesus. Labor Day has changed over the years. It's become gentrified, with rules that strip away from the cultural significance we've built for ourselves. This reflects a broader shift where what once belonged to us is now altered by outside influence. When it comes to relationships, as adults, we carry the responsibility to lead by example. It’s up to us to take the first step, as we are the ones who teach the younger generation. Respect is earned by giving it, and that’s true in all forms of relationships. However, in today’s society, it seems that many women may overlook men who earn less than they do, often not treating them with the respect they deserve. Staying in an unhappy relationship teaches children to settle for less, which can have long-term, negative impacts on their future relationships. It’s essential to model healthy, respectful relationships, where happiness and mutual respect are prioritized. Always choose your happiness first!
As always, great episode. As for making someone happy. I believe you have to make yourself happy, someone can add on to your happiness but no one is here to make you happy.
I really enjoyed this episode! Keep up the good work
great show / conversation

Thank you so much Sabine❤❤
I enjoyed listening so much guys...so many things I can relate to...I will be sharing and staying tuned....love you cuz Sterling!!!!!!!❤❤
Love you more cuzzie❤❤❤
@sterling could your Americanized ways be part of the reason your father and you did not see eye to eye? Being from the Caribbean, my pops did not like my flat top and my way of dressing. Your high top Gumby might have played a part 😂
Naa I actually met my father for the 1st time when I was 4 years old because he came to America when my mother was pregnant. He came back to Trinidad when I was 4 and I was extremely excited to meet my hero ..They got married and we moved to Brooklyn but he never showed any fatherly interest in me..He even proposed to send me back to Trinidad but my mother refused..
🔥🔥
Stem is a legend. Salute my dude. Met him in the 90's. One of the only dudes that puts in the work and legit has love for Art.
Stem and Beems foundational. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💯💯
I think there is a big disconnect between people that do graffiti and people that don’t. The question of “What is the goal?” ignores a big part of graffiti. The graffiti is not a means to an end it is an end in itself, the goal is to do art for art sake. Making money out of it is nice, but is an extra not the goal.
Absolutely, I completely agree. Graffiti is often misunderstood by those outside the culture. It's not just about creating something visually appealing, but it's about the act of creation itself. The streets become a canvas, and the art is a form of self-expression, a way to leave a mark on the world. While some may see financial gain as a bonus, true graffiti artists are driven by the passion for their craft and the desire to share their creativity with others. It's about the art, the culture, and the freedom to express oneself without boundaries. I stand corrected.
Great Episode Thank You Gentlemen for sharing & Being Vulnerable. I Enjoyed this Episode.. Shout out to Big Sterl known him for decades a brother from another mother😊 Real Stand Up Guy❤️
