No, wet wipes are bad for the sewage systems in cities and overall bad for the environment. This is because they don't break down like toilet paper is designed to do. Americans are so weird! I don't know why America never caught on but if there is a concern that things are not fully clean, get a bidet. They will give a refresh and make sure it is fully clean.

Every member of every generation can not be generalized, but I have been working at summer camps since 2015 and in the past couple of years tantrums have quadrupled. I think parents now days are too stressed and burnt out to pay adequate attention to their kids and kids are acting out because of it. Insted of being given the attention they need these children are given an ipad or whatever they want to get them to be quiet. I was raised by a stay at home mom who always had time to give me a hug when I was feeling lonely or read to me at night, now its hard to talk to some of these kids parents because they are too busy! We were no angels when we where younger, but I dont think we were this problematic either. When i was young 1 kid would cry because they had to wait in line, now 4 kids cry if they have to wait.

No I'm scared for the next generation not because of "they're lazy" and shit like literally every generation has said about the next coming generation, they're not lazy but they (as a majority, not ALL but alot) have no spelling or comprehension skills and while in 7th and 8th grade are performing on a 3rd or 4th grade level and that is genuinely something to be concerned about because in current days an 8th grader can't spell shit I was spelling as the BARE MINIMUM for 4th grade education and that isn't good. It's not because they're being parented "different" but because they aren't being parented or helped at all at such a basic level and that in and of itself is something to be concerned about. Let me reiterate that I don't think they're "worse" than any other generation but they're not being fucking taught. That's not their fault but OUR fault. Teach your damn kids. Don't lie and try to bullshit us into believing that there isn't anything to be concerned about because there is, we need to do better by our kids FOR OUR KIDS, the way they're being taught and disciplined isn't their fault, but it's our fault and we need to rise to the occasion and do right by them, don't try and lie to us that there's nothing to be worried about because there is. This is coming from someone who was 9 years old literally performing at a 4-5 year old level because no one would take the time to teach me, so I was nearly 10 years old performing at a literal pre-school fucking level, I'm just lucky my 3rd grade teacher cared about me enough to teach me properly and I ended up reading at a 9th grade level in 3rd grade because she put in the effort and tried FOR ME. We need to put in the time and effort for our kids, and at this point well shit, call me a bitch because I'm gonna be putting the time, the effort and work into my kids into being the best they can be and when they're surpassing your kids, reading at the grade level they should be reading at you can keep crying how the next generation failing isn't anyone's fault.

What I’ll say is… knowing why it happens explains why certain things work. First, never believe the idiots posting videos on the internet. If there was legit science behind it, these methods wouldn’t be a surprise and you wouldn’t have to verify with the rest of the internet. It’s bacteria that causes the smell. Same goes for any smell on your body (sweat, morning breath, etc.). So, we keep those areas clean. You might notice all the people who say “oh I put this on after every shower, it keeps the smell away.” After every shower… it’s the shower that keeps the smell away. Unless you’re putting deodorant in your butt crack (please don’t) that smell is going to come back until the next shower. It’s normal. You could use baby wipes instead of normal TP to help. But unless you have people sniffing your butt all the time, nobody is going to notice. Shower regularly and wash your undies. Problem solved, no “hacks” involved

The only person I've seen "whining" about this has been you. Sharing genuine concerns isn't *whining*. Yeah, kids can be stupid (they do NOT know the world super well though so it's understandable). But to go "no, theres no problem at all because I havent directly seen it, so you're all just being sensitive" feels entirely disengenous and downright pisses me off. As someone who was raised with pretty much free reign over the internet at one house (about 1/3 or 1/4 of the time), and literally not allowed to search things on google unless my parent was sitting right next to me for the rest of the time, in a heartbeat I can say that immediate, unlimited access to the internet are not good for kid's development. I've lived through both sides of the spectrum. The reason that "Gen alpha doesn't act differently than you did when you were kids" is because *WE WERE GIVEN SMART DEVICES ACCESS TOO* . Not to the same scale of course, but we are speaking up about this because we KNOW what it can do to them. What it did to us, but worse. And before you ask, yes I know, technology is very useful and good, I use it to draw, find content, and connect to people easier. But it should not be constantly in front of kids' noses as they develop, at least not to this extent.

Have you seen the kids the hit and scream at their mothers for iPads? It’s not every child, but it’s a good chunk of the new generation. Some of the newer generation cannot read. Let that sink in. You guys are so quick to say “ugh stop bitching about everything”. Parents will do anything to protect their kids, even if they’re brats. Gen Z is genuinely mad that Gen alpha parents decided to hand their kid a screen the second they came out of the womb. It’s a problem. It’s the same as a drug addiction to these children. I have a brother and he is crazy about his iPad. His friends are too. Stop telling us to “stop bitching” and start acting like actual parents instead of giving your child a screen. Ok, commenting before watching here, so this may be said in the video. Parenting/motherhood is WORK, but it is not a job. I do think parents in America should receive financial assistance, as they do in other countries, to care for the future citizens (I.e. workers) of society, but I don’t think they should receive a “paycheck” and the other benefits that often (not always) accompany a “job.”

i grew up without a real father figure and watched my mom do literally everything for us ON TOP of her full time job. i was never exposed to a dynamic of “mom and dad” but i am 20 now and in one of my classes at uni i read something that completely reframed motherhood for me. i read a passage that referred to motherhood and housework as the “unpaid” work of a woman and it all suddenly clicked for me that yes, this is a JOB and it is a huge one. it’s so hard sometimes to think about how this type of work is just assumed to fall completely on the woman, especially when she is already working a full time job. for me, i would only be comfortable being a mother if my future husband was able to be the sole provider of income because i do not want to end up with two full time jobs and face burnout because i am easily susceptible to burnout and stress and being overwhelmed. i wish this topic was talked about more because the role of a mother and a woman is generally unappreciated and unacknowledged

@@sunthif5830 My dad passed away when my mom was pregnant with me and my brother was 1. I was also raised by a single mom who often worked two jobs I am raising my 3 as a single mom now who obviously works full time. Neither her or I consider being a mom a “job.” It sure is a lot of work though but of course it’s unpaid. Who gets paid to live their lives lol. The payment is raising kids who grow up and appreciate you and look at their childhood positivity. Definitely plan carefully when you discuss children with a partner so that you know you are getting into a situation that offers the support you deserve as a mother. But for people in situations like my mom’s, it was unavoidable since her husband died in an accident.

@@thesandravshow so it seems that the framing and specific use of the word job is what you don’t agree with? i see your point, it isn’t a job technically but it is similar in the way that it’s a constant responsibility. i think people just take issue with the fact that the work mothers put in is taken for granted quite frequently, hence the focus on why it is considered to be “unpaid.”

@@sunthif5830 Yes exactly. We know when we decide to become mothers that is come with a lot of sacrifices and hard work. But so many mothers, like the one in the video I stitched, view it as a literal job. She’s saying mothers should demand a paycheck and 401K from their husbands and leave them if they don’t comply. She’s saying mothers provide childcare to their own children which is just strange to me. I could never compare my life with my kids to my 9-5.

Something i don't get is, are "white" people only the ones we assume are white because they have blonde hair and blue or light colored eyes? I think education is so important for people who are discriminating against others because of visual cues: gray hair - old and won't stay at the job, female - generally less than and will be more focused on her family, Hispanic last name - speaks Spanish, dark hair - mexican. My husband is mexican I'm white, his skin is very white, his eyes are light, his hair when he was younger was every color people may assume he's white because the visual clues are contradicting what we "think" mexican is. So its important to educate about assuming-all races/all people assume based on visual clues or names - assume about one thing or another. I'm glad you havent continued to have challenges, I've never heard of apartments or jobs being so picky. Did they each advise if they were doing a criminal and financial backgtound check? I'd be curious about the laws in your state and whether a misdemeanor is a legally allowed reason for them to deny you. Since they did disclose that it was the misdemeanor that was the issue.

I think the OP made it a general issue but really she and husband need to have budget meetings. I work full time and my husband is the stay at home parent. In the video she actually says to demand a pay check that goes into a bank your husband doesn’t have access to and demand he set up a 401K that he contributes to… I understand wanting to protect yourself incase something happens but that feels very transactional for a marriage.

Do you have kids? I have 3, a 4yo, 2yo, and a 2 week old. When my husband is with them (no shade on him he works so much it’s hard to catch up with where the kids are at) it’s a free for all, he’s in survival mode just trying to feed, play, potty train, change diapers. When I’m with them it’s never ending There’s no break, there’s structure, discipline, 3 different but not separate routines, 3 different but not separated meals 3x a day, 3 different napping styles, my life is so consumed by my children that I’m genuinely lucky my husband gets to be around sometimes. I choose to forfeit my independence, income, and my peace sometimes just to ensure I’m raising tiny people that can establish themselves in our society. There’s a huge difference between what you’re describing and that would be babysitting is short term and childcare is not. My husband may not be a sitter but he damn sure isn’t providing the same amount of care. What I provide is more than basic childcare, it’s more than what my parents did. It’s better than daycare and it’s free. So yeah if I claim to have worked all week and assumed his money was ours I’d be right.

Hello fellow mother of 3! My kids are ages 8, 6 ,6 and I am a single mom but I was a stay at home mom for a little under a year after my twins were born. I didn’t say it’s the same amount of care but whether you are their primary parent or not, you are still being a parent and not a babysitter or childcare provider. You’re being a mom. I personally do not view motherhood as a job. Being a mother is a lot of work. The year I was a SAHM it was one of the best but hardest years of my life. But I will never compare the time I spent with my kids to employment. Absolutely his money should be considered your money. I never mentioned money at all. I was referring to her calling being a mother childcare and I don’t believe you can provide childcare to your own children. Motherhood is the only part of life that is hard work that people call a job and I will never understand. And you’re right. It’s more than basic childcare, it’s parenting!

@@thesandravshow twins! Wow mama. But ya did bring up wanting a check for being a sahm. You’re right parenting is parenting but I do provide childcare, I child care all day long. I don’t have to view what I do as a job but that doesn’t mean it’s not extremely hard work even on the days that I feel amazing about it’s still work. Work doesn’t need to be different from parenting otherwise I’m not doing anything. I’m working alongside my 2yo on the potty, I’m working with my 4yo reading and writing, and girlllll my boobies are busting butt out here for my baby. There doesn’t need to be a clear line between working and raising our kids. I’ve had jobs and sometimes I can’t wait to get back to that just so I can get a break from the work I do daily with my babies. But I think maybe some people need there to be a clear line to justify that their parents that do go to work. Although their kids are going to another adult who is also working (by providing care). I won’t lie initially this post aggravated me, I am a mother and this is work, my nanny couldn’t keep up with all the meals, dishes, messes, laundry, and the rest of the household while also caring for my children the way I do. But I paid her, we could get a cleaner too, and pay them, and a tutor. Except I’m good at my “job” as a mother and housewife. These words don’t need to compare with being employed outside of your home but they do define exactly what I do on a daily basis. These kids are my dream job. That doesn’t mean I compare them to the patient care I provide while I’m employed. The worlds not that black and white and I feel like you’re creating a space to shame moms whether it be intentionally or not.
