Hiking Among the Cacti: Nature's Prickly Beauties
Take a walk into the Sonoran desert and enjoy the sight of so many different cactus species. Pretty easy trail with great desert beauty. Many Saguaro amongst the others. Barrel cactus, prickly pear, Cholla of all types. It's like a Cactus Garden!

Cold War Targets found in the Arizona Desert!
มุมมอง 194วันที่ผ่านมา
A cool spot in the desert near Casa Grande, AZ where you can visit these cool Calibrations targets. There were 272 of these initially embedded into the desert soil around Casa Grande. There was a 16 mile grid of these markers to calibrate Aerial cameras. There is a mistaken rumor that these were used to calibrate CIA spy satellites. Not true. At least that no one admits. :~) There are so many c...
Amazing Wildlife Encounter: Elk Feasting On Twigs In Campground
มุมมอง 3014 วันที่ผ่านมา
This elk visited a campground where I was staying. He was pretty tame and people were getting pretty close to him. He was even laying under the trees in the middle of the road. There is a missing hoof on the right rear. I talked to some of the other folks there and they said they called and talked to forestry folks about the elk. They said they knew about this elk and that they fielded several ...
The Stunning Scenery Of Water Wheel Trail Waterfalls
มุมมอง 8914 วันที่ผ่านมา
How many waterfalls are too many? No such thing right? Great trail for hiking. Fairly easy, mostly walking on exposed bedrock. There are some slippery parts and water on the rocks. You have to make a few creek crossings including some with the aid of a fallen tree or two. I did not see the water wheel itself, not sure where that is. At the falls there was barbed wire and signs warning of privat...
Why Everyone is Talking About Horton Creek Trail
มุมมอง 5721 วันที่ผ่านมา
A quick video review of Horton Creek Trail in Tonto Forest. This is a popular trail and is pretty trail to hike. The creek runs along side most of the trail and sounds awesome. The trail itself is through a pine forest so is shaded in the am and smells wonderful. I did not finish the trail. It is about 9 miles out and back and rated as hard on Alltrails. There are some very rocky parts. In addi...

Sorry. Google water wheel trailhead for directions. Thanks for watching.

A must visit location!
Wow visit from nature at campground!
A very gorgeous view at the top!
OMG, this is only my list! Thanks for sharing. Were there any places to swim? How long was your total hike?
There are some swimming holes. pretty small by your standard though. Just more of a cool off hole. The hike was only a couple of miles out and back. Pretty short. Still cool to see.
Amazing trail! Lots of waterfalls, cool geology and awesome scenery.
Amazing rock formations. Walk among the giant spires. Amazing.
Amazing amount of Rock art. Petroglyphs and Pictographs.

I am glad you enjoyed your trip. Keep on Hiking!
Looks awesome!
It was!
top -😯
It is almost spiritual!
Wow, I loved the music coming from the shelter area.
I know. That just knocked me out. I talked to A BLM employee about that and he said the guy does that for the enjoyment of the hikers out there. He goes out there frequently. So Cool huh?
Thanks it was an amazing hike. So pretty in that canyon. Appreciate you watching.
That was spectacular! Glad to see even more with the drone.
Thanks for watching. The drone really expands what I can see and record. Fun too! Just have to be sure and check to make sure it is ok in the area first. The Red Reef trail I did....did not allow drones. So gotta make do with the GoPro. :~)
@OldGuyHikingReviews I never even thought about drones not being allowed. But I guess I've only had to check if dogs were allowed... 😅
Lovely episode man, topic is great and you elaborated this so nicely!
Thank you for watching. Spread the word. We need to get more seniors on the trails. It is fun and and exposes people to nature and exercise. I have seen so many awesome sites since I started hiking again! Thank you for the kind words.
Reminds me of an ant farm 😂
That is awesome. That's my whole drive to create these videos. Get people out there to hike and discover our world . Thanks for watching. Keep hiking!
I hiked this after watching your video, great hike, the granary was amazing .
Have you ever been hiking in Illinois?
Long time ago. Starved rock
Awesome 😮
Thanks for watching. It is a very cool place to see.
Didn't realize there was lava in Utah😊
I know. There is a ton actually. But this is the most obvious and newest flow. Only 700 Years old!
Where is this at?
The fiquires look alien !
I am a believer....you folks good?
Sqeedyke area, we used to travel down from Utah County, party and go to the hot springs. Definitely an area of few people.
Nature lives within narrow ranges and when it gets too hot or too dry, wham, say good bye to forests that provide water and oxygen to humans. Climate change is killing quakies ( Populus tremuloides) all over UT and CO😢
The quakies are dying and loaded with caterpillars
I love this Nerdy info! Thank you for sharing it!
It was very cool. I was the only one there. Crazy. Central Utah is amazing.
This is super cool. I definately need to go there!
Yes you do
Enjoyed the short video. Looks like a nice day hike. But where is it. Got the name of the trail, but what state.
www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/fishlake/recarea/?recid=12216 Sorry forgot to add this. This is outside of Monroe, Utah. Thanks for watching.
Wow ❤️
Thanks for watching. I heard the creek along the whole trail. It was awesome!
