I haven't seen this type of VCR anywhere. Unfortunately there is no type listed, so I can't look it up. It looks expensive.

Probably from the late 1980s to early 1990s. This cassette was used for daily recording, and has a few things overwritten. Not only the call to prayer was announced on TV, but they also left enough time to do the prayer itself. I do not recognise the name of the prayer. UPDATE: The actual call to prayer had to be cut out, because of copyright.

I can't remember the type now, it was a basic panasonic from the early 2000s. To heads, only reads the linear audio track.

@@zoltanderzsi3984 Unfortunately I honestly don't remember too many particulars. I was born in 1969 so it would have been sometime from the mid 70s through to the early 80s that I saw it. I can't even be sure it was on tv. Back then when you went to the cinema there'd be a few cartoons shown before the movie started, so I might've seen it at the cinema. Perhaps I'd seen it at the cinema as well as on tv, at different times. What I can be confident about is it's age. Looking at the style of the animation and especially the music I'd say it was definitely made in the early 60s. I'm Australian by the way if that's any help. Sorry I can't give you any more specifics, but it was so long ago. 🙂

It's a single-chip radio. The tuning is done via adjusting a potentiometer, and on SW it works in 1 kHz steps. This radio performs OK, I still have it and am using it in the workshop. Very good price-to-value ratio.

Just remembering my young days when I used to visit Doha, Qatar in the 70's & 80's. With a Yagi antenna & rotor, I could pick up nearby channels without an booster amplifier. With a sporadic E layer present during the summer, could pick VHF channels : Channel 3 (Aramco), Bahrain ch4, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Dubai Ch 10 & Oman (Mct), Local Iran stns, sometimes Pakistan (Karachi ch.4) & Jordan tv. On UHF, could pick Dubai Ch. 33 & Bahrain ch.55

Well, it's too intermittent, and it only gets through the repeater occasionally. The deliberate interference has since been stopped. Since it's on a shared site, and we are secondary users, there is not much we could do.
