NO nonsense “Step-by-Step Finishing Armor” aimed at helping armor modelers improve their game.
Master Modeler Glenn Bartolotti has created quite a series with his "Step-By-Step Finishing Armor" series. Each of the volumes is a mini-master class in painting and weathering specific armor kits, figures and Dioramas. The paints, powders and washes are all clearly identified, along with pre-shading and other painting techniques. "Armorama"

Thank you, as usual wonderful video! I love the details and I really do love these display cases! I need to check my local hobby lobby if they have something like that it's a great to display a model and protecting from dust :)
Thank you and yes, go to Hobby lobby you’ll see them there👍
Great job.👍
Thank you!
I really want to start building stuff like that but I have no idea where to start. Your work is absolutely stunning! It's really inspiring! thank you for sharing :)
Well, it’s a lot easier for me because I started doing this in the 1980s but I built models all through my childhood and then of course stopped during high school and then when I got married but then in 1980s started back back up so you’ve gotta just start projects and finish them so you can learn from them is the best I can tell you I hope what I put out as videos help but if you ever have any questions, do not feel afraid to ask nothing is too small! Thanks again!
@@ArmorModelsbyGlennBartolotti Thank you really much. I did scale modeling back when I was young around 98/99 but lost doing it since then. And back in the time, I wasn't good at all. It was just glueing it together brush some paint on it and play with the tanks a war against my cousin :D I just found your channel and I will keep watching your videos, there is a lot the learn from and I will ask if I come up with any questions - thank you! Have a safe start in 2025
@handlethecraft 😎👍
Nice job.👍
Thanks!😎👍
Nice diorama build! I like these German SPG’s 💥👍💥
Thank you!
Wonderful work Glenn 👌👌
Wow thank you!
Great work Glenn!
Thank you so much and happy holidays!
Awesome wok, mate! 👍👍
Thanks 👍
Very nice diorama and Marder. I've built a number of Tamiya's Marders over the years. Not this though. About Florida, miss that place. Live in Reno Nevada now. Grew up in Palm Bay, spent many a weekend camping out Billy Lake WMA off of highway 192. Many a found memories. Won't get into the giant Diamond Back had an encounter with this back in late 70's early to mid 80's. Well before the issues with the Burmese Plymonths and iguana all running amok across the state. Thanks for your time with Florida Wildlife or Fish & Game.
Thank you!
Glenn as always just awesome. Thank you for your service to us and all the little critters!
👍😎thank you !!!!!🐍
Nice job! Great weathering and details!

Cool farmhouse facade.
Thanks for visiting
I had no idea you were a Herpetologist, GB.
part time!
You have the hands of a surgeon to use a soldering iron on styrene to make weld seams. You should see what Night Shift / Martin Kovach does with putty and tools. His hands and eyes are super-sharp.
Those bogeys remind me of early Shermans before the HVS suspension of the EZ8s and Super Shermans. But instead of vertical volute springs, the bogey are cushioned by leaf spring packs.
good ops!

You're a true student of Shepard Paine, Maestro Bartolotti. I've enjoyed your work in Fine Scale Modeler for years.
thank you !!!!!!
For a non figure painter you did a hell of a good job my friend! Verry nice to watch!❤ Thank you!
Thank you so much! I did paint figures back in the 90s and that’s all I did for a long time but my eyes are not like they used to be so I have a lot of difficulty with a small stuff but I’m trying to figure out a style that I can stick with because I am always going between oils and acrylics so we’ll see how it goes. Everybody wants to be a Calvin Tan figure Painter, right!
@ArmorModelsbyGlennBartolotti thats right😅 i say keep this style and i can not see in youre work youre eyes are not what they used to be🤓, the detail is verry good👌 hope to see more from you, already a good christmas and a lovely new year!👍👊
👍😎❤️
Great diarrhea, really like the building like how you whether the vehicle. Always great to watch in your videos. Can't wait for your next one.Keep up the good work
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. I have to take my time though to make them come out this good so it might be a while maybe another month before you see something but I’m gonna be on it. Looking forward for the new year happy holidays!
Always a joy, awesome video glenn. What kit is your fingers from in this diorama
Thank you so much for the kind comments! I’m not sure I understand about your fingers from this diorama?
@ArmorModelsbyGlennBartolotti I'm sorry Glenn I'm not for sure if I understand your question thank you for your reply
Okay sorry I see the confusion that was autocorrect that's figures not fingers LOL
The one figure comes in the martyr kit, which has two figures. And the other figure is from Arto.
@ArmorModelsbyGlennBartolotti okay thank you very much
Another masterpiece. You have an amazing ability to tell a complete story with a minimal amount of detail. I'm always impressed. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Merry Christmas to you and yours family. Blessings to you all.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it and I wish you and your family a merry Christmas and happy new year!
Great job Glenn. Keep up the good work and all the best from Scotland!
Thank you so much really appreciate it and happy holidays from Tampa Florida!
I just subscribed to your channel after watching this video. I really enjoyed the build, seeing how and why you chose different products and methods to get the effects you wanted. I've passed this video onto modeling friends on Facebook. Looking forward to your next one...
Thank you so much. I really appreciate that! Happy holidays.
Hi Glenn, your diorama looks amazing, fantastic composition, mate. Merry Christmas to you and your family. cheers, Gary uk 🇬🇧
Thank you, Gary and merry Christmas to you and yours and a happy new year!
So I live in France and that stonework is absolutely spot on......great job and a fantastic diorama. Really enjoy your vids, thanks for sharing.
Thank you I visited Normandy with my son back in 2007 and was so impressed by all the structures and buildings
Very nice indeed. A diorama really adds to the display of a model. A shelf of lined up models can just end up being glanced over. A long list of tips and techniques to take away from this, as well as source and purchase yet more temporary loft insulation.............Happy holiday.
Thank you!
Oustanding details as usual, excellent work on the ground, roof and flowers...Merry Christmas to you and yours Glen!
Thank you and merry Christmas to you!
Thank you for sharing, Glen 👍
Thank you for watching and commenting. I hope you enjoyed it!
Glenn-amazing work as always. Would you please comment on the airbrush you are using in this video? I have been looking at these all-in-one airbrush/compressor units like you are using but have been concerned about the poor reviews I have read about them. I’m sure you sought out the best one you could find, and I would appreciate your advise. I build WW2 German things mostly, vehicles and figures. Thank you so much! Bob Horning
Hi Bob, thanks for the commenting and yes, I just purchased that the last couple months I like it because I can just sit in my work area and use the airbrush because my compressor is in the garage and I hated going out there to airbrush. This gives you continuous 20 psi. You can also get a small little regulator and hose for it if you want Company sells both. I just use that advertisement on Facebook to buy mine so far so good.
Super ❤️

Your work is inspirational and your attention to detail, composition layout etc is always excellent,,your videos are very relaxing and informative, keep up the great work
Thank you so much!
Another great one.
Thanks!
Absolutely brilliant mate! The composition and weathering techniques are quite excellent. Gotta love those old stone walls...
Thank you! I visited Normandy back in like 2007 with my son. We backpack through Europe and I just loved all that old stonework.
Glenn another Masterpiece from a Master Modeler. I always enjoy the history behind the build . You’re Step by step approach to doing the Vignette just helps me so much. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. 👍👍😀
Great to hear!!! Thanks 😎
Lovely Diorama. Still busy on mine, hope to have them at least mounted on their bases ad converted by the time Christmas Day comes around. I'm sure I have mentioned to you in a past comment that I am also a Beekeeper, so it's a nice little surprise that you are a reptile preservationist.
Save the bees!!!!
Nicely done Glenn. Been following for a while (even from your days of pisting on Track-Link back from the 90s till more recently) It was nice to get an insight of the modeller behind the camera. Kudos on your field of work/research as well. In a world where human intrusion impacts so many species, always good to encounter someone doing some good. 👍
Wow, back on track link you know I had almost 300 entries have built models and diorama is on there and then unfortunately Paul lost all the photos in the servers and stupid me had no back ups! Thanks for your comment greatly appreciate it!!!
Awesome composition. Keep it up.
Thank you👍😎
Where’s the roof from, when I try to get 1/48/135 scale it always looks to big
The roof is a piece of plastic product from plastruct I’m using it in my next video. I’ll show some more of it there.
You’re having fun with this animation 😊
for now but I'm back to building in this world!🙏
That wall and cobblestone road look fantastic, I actually grew up in a street with cobblestones like that... the car on the other hand, tbh I don't understand the white stuff, is it a form of camo ?
Yes, the white on the car is camouflage for the winter that was applied whitewash. Thanks for your comment. Glad you enjoyed it!
Interesting outfit.
😎👍
wow
