In the Strength Reduction method, the soil strength is artificially reduced, and so there is a need to redistribute the stresses. This can be done by the Stress Redistribution algorithm, and so this option can be indirectly used to do a Strength Reduction stability analysis.

Modeling the raft as a volume element in a piled raft system is way more accurate. Also, regularly spacing piles are not effective, concentrated piles distribution proved effective for lateral, vertical, and combined loading

I am trying to model lateral loaded pile in sap2000 using nonlinear spring to define p-y curve for soil but i have a different results than L-pile when i compared the moment and shear , if there is any reference to model piles on sap2000 or any other FE Software to make sure the model is correct it will be great
how did you assign non linear spring in sap2000? and how did you get that value?

Hi ... Can you help me please... I am using plaxis 3D dynamic V20 to simulate the earthquake applied on piled raft. the raft is plate and the piles is embedded beam with uniform static load and elcentro earthquake... The model is very slow in the analysis and calculation phase and takes about 60 hours. Do I have a problem or is there a way to speed up the calculations??
