Most waffle raft slab designs for Victorian house and land packages comprises SL92 as the designs are generally based on “off-the-shelf” specs for volume builders. Hence, SL92 is the industry “go-to” mesh for volume builders. 2. The video didn’t show a lot of other checks done afterwards (including the depth of beams per your comments). If you take a closer look at the video, it was filmed as a “1 take” to only highlight the most obvious points. Your comments here are correct. 3. We are not the slab designer, nor have access to the soil test. We can only refer to the supplied slab design and check against those drawings. The slab design also included piers to the rear of the property to overcome the angle of repose (due to the easement), but we did not show this in our “1 take” video for our viewers. Again, our role is not to sign off on the pre-pour. 4. Check the video, there are areas where the overlap is less than 400mm (or 2 grids). Due to SL92 mesh dimensions, one edge has a half grid from factory (ie.100mm) and this should not be counted as part of the overlap. 5. Correct if the concrete cover can be achieved, but given the FFL is set, how are you going to achieve enough concrete cover with that much rebar? Hence, our comment regarding “too much rebar” is correct for the circumstances. Like many suburbs, graffiti is a common headache. The only way to combat the problem is to report graffiti to council. Council are normally very responsive to clean it. However, if the graffiti is located in private property, council can’t do anything - it will be the responsibility of the owner.

係呀. 我哋個video忘記咗呢一點. Painting brickwork is not suggested as the paint often peels over time and hard to fully remove/prepare for the next time. The paint also blocks the brick’s ability to “breathe” and release moisture.
