I feel like you have it backwards. They are perfect for commuting and being a workhorse. I ride mine to work and then on my days off I ride 8+ hours at a time doing deliveries. Getting over 120mpg is awesome for both these things. The most I’ve delivered on my Grom is 6 pizzas with 40 wings and two 2 liters.

You can buy a 600 cc sport bike for 3-5 k depending on the miles it has. Still faster then a grom and so much more fun riding one .
