Rear Bear Hug and Lift
มุมมอง 3K12 ปีที่แล้ว
A hard one to escape but you definitely need a plan if it happens. Better to be safe than sorry... good sport defense too.
Rear Bear Hug Self Defense
มุมมอง 1.9K12 ปีที่แล้ว
A very important, but often neglected part of BJJ is the Self Defense aspect. This move does work in a sport setting as well.
Americanas and kimuras .MOV

Lots of Americanas and Kimuras... these will keep your opponent on the defense as you reel him in.
Fist Choke.MOV
มุมมอง 2.9K12 ปีที่แล้ว
A nasty submission from mount, or even half guard. Great for countering escapes and setting up other submissions.
Kata Kesa Gatame Escape.MOV
มุมมอง 4.1K12 ปีที่แล้ว
A tricky position to escape from, but this is a great answer to someone trying to keep you there.
Knee on Belly Far Side Armbar.MOV
มุมมอง 1.4K12 ปีที่แล้ว
Great way to counter a common knee on belly escape. Get good at this as it's a great one to have in your arsenal.
BJJ Takedown Strategy.MOV
มุมมอง 22K12 ปีที่แล้ว
Most BJJ guys focus only on the ground. Don't worry about learning a bunch of Judo throws, work this defensive style and you won't have to flop guard anymore.
Basic Triangle Set up Using Hips.MOV
มุมมอง 79312 ปีที่แล้ว
Triangle is a common move to get and if you can get your hips moving it'll become a go to move for you. Here is a great way to catch your opponent of guard.

Wrestling Rib Crush.MOV
มุมมอง 12K12 ปีที่แล้ว
A truly NASTY way to punish your opponent. Take care as this move is a great way to lose training partners if you don't show some control.
Triangle Scissor Set up.MOV

This is one of my favorite set ups for the Triangle Choke. Definitely a MUST HAVE for your arsenal.
59 year old white belt. I love this…as a white belt after 7 months, I’m drawn to techniques that don’t have 20 different things to remember. This one seems simple enough to work on. Thx !
Legend has it Alexander Volovski watched this video Saturday night
lol there’s another video by Gary Tonen as well worth a watch. But Volk didnt do either of them, he didn’t even really escape. He waited until Ortega was squeezed out a bit, wiggled and fought the arm enough to get enough space to tuck his chin, making Ortega give the choke up.
Volk and ortega brought me here
Sir! Great information! Thanks for the video 🙏
Thanks a lot! it`s AWESOME stuff!
Death note music
Thanks Professor Mike
"i hope you liked it?" you asked at video end? mate i looove it ; ) thank you :)
awesome video thanks for all of the details!
thanks i love loop chokes and cant wait to try these setups
1:33 Sleeve choke from opening > triangle 4:05 roll under from opening 4:47 setup trap to let partner pass guard
"...and then put the leg over." Hmm ok but why do... "And the reason we do that is because..." Well played, instructor! Well played!
Good move
A guy I use to go to school with who was a Marine told me about this. The kid was literally 5 feet nothing and a 130 lbs soaking wet. He tells me he could choke me out with nothing but by shirt and I didn’t believe him. I’m 6’2 220 lbs just FYI. We grappled and I’m not ashamed to say he had me out in seconds. This move, albeit unorthodox, does definitely work!
Great self defence moves
Loop chokes have become my go to moves. My opponent does not expect them at all.
Hi friend, the correct word is "Pão" or "Pao" since english has no accent on words. Oss Greetins from Brazil
I don't like the roll. Puts you right on your back in a bad position. That grip could easily be broken from that position and holding his elbow will not work from that angle. Most likely would eat a bunch of elbows in a street situation.
If you weren't both wearing almost exactly the same thing, it would have been far easier to follow.
The way pressure is placed from the bottom guy, also you can't see in this video angle hands peal off becouse of the pressure placed into the hands of the top guy.
Faaaak that looks awesome I ll try to get some of those. Wow you sir are genius :)
Oh no...
lmao he said i can look into his eyes as i choke him lmao im dead
who gave eddie munster a black belt?
Amazing!
Your efforts are super appreciated. Totally amazing, game changing stuff. OSS!!
Awesome video! Not so awesome gi. I had the same OTM. The pants string and loops were toast after three sessions. Anyway, OSS! Thanks for sharing.
Amazing detail! OSS
Could you also to this with your own gi? EX: pull the right end of your gi up out of your belt , grap the corner the same way as you grab his and then shoot it behind the head attempting the same technique?
All these moves are just awesome! Thx for sharing.
Kron loves the loop.
Nice, simple, powerful, love it. Thank You,
looks like your partner's legs are broken :D
you earned a new subscriber! thank you for this one!!!
Loving your vids
I love this video, giving the opponent two bad options from one move that you make is the essence of jiu jitsu. When people say that Jiu jitsu is Human Chess, they mean it.
Nice... Slick choke... Good details.
nice
I found that you can also threaten with a kimura, more like then not he's going to roll, but instead of him thinking of taking your back, he thinking of rolling out or defending the kim.
Thanks for sharing this move. It may be unorthodox in competition, however this could be a good self-defense move! Merry Christmas & Happy 2015! :-) Blessings to you and yours! :-)
Only work inside the dojo, not on the beach for example, or when wear t-shirt
siick!
wrong.
Howdy from flavio Behring Utah!
Ouusssss!
You're not allowed to lock your hands in wrestling but this is probably for BJJ.
He's grabbing his own wrist not locking his hands, look again.
In folkstyle wrestling that would count as "locking hands" You can't even let your fingers touch unless your're in front of them or go over a shoulder (head and arm lock from behind) but I think he mean. In freestyle and international wrestling this is a common hold.
Thankyou my Canuck friends - much needed sound advice for a 2 month white belt.
Thanks I use Ude Garami a lot and this gives me another finishing option. And I really like that sweep to the Yacka Lock.
Excellent move
Nice.
Bob the axeman?!
