Thank you guys for having me!!! It was a blast to talk about turtles and protected species research! 🐢👩🔬
Thank you for joining us Jamie, you're always welcome back on Field Stories 😁
Thanks so much for talking about the fires here in the forest of Perú 🥺
Felicidades Lilianita!!
saludos 🇲🇽 Interesante oír un poco más sobre lili
Very nice! Thank you guys 😉
I met Luke in 2015 when we went to Peru on the UW exploration seminar to Madre de Dios. I am grateful for this podcast because as a friend it is like pulling teeth getting him to talk about the incredible research and field work he is conducting - that's how humble he is! He is endlessly kind and I wish him all the success in the world. Equal parts brilliant and dedicated to the field of Ornithology - I can't wait to put a book by Dr.Zhou on my shelf some day :) Cheers Luke!
🔥🔥

Thank you for the second one and welcome to Michela (correct?) Nick would you mind posting a link to the cornwall Uni wildlife photography course(?) Chris you were quite fidgety at end of podcast..
www.falmouth.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/marine-natural-history-photography Thanks a lot for the reply, we can only apologise for Chris's twitchiness, at least you can hear him!! Th link above will take you to the wildlife photography course I am currently a part of and it is a really fun and engaging course, with a lot challenges in the right direction. Any more questions feel free to message me on instagram @nick_smith_wildlife_photos
Do you take volunteers?🤍💚💙🤍
Such a great idea. Thanks for this. Wondering if you have any suggestions for entering field oriented conservation via academia. How useful is a PhD for breaking into this field? How common are non-profits like this which do long term data collection?
To answer your question about non-profits like Fauna Forever. They are not super common worldwide, because there is always a lack of funding for long-term monitoring projects. However similar organization exists across the tropics and in many developed countries this monitoring is partially undertaking by governmental agencies
Hi guys really enjoyed the podcast and looking forward to the next ones! Very clever concept and hopefully will get more people interested and involved in what you do (and perhaps will bring funding too) . Good work and thank you again.
Thank you for the comment! Much appreciated and we hope to raise some great awareness whilst also making light of some of the crazier things associated :)
Amazing 😂
Thank you! Looking forward to posting more episodes :)
Well done. Congrats.
Thank you for listening!
Enjoyed this podcast…love the fact that you guys were raw and candid…oh and everyone needs a Cheeky in their life 🤣
