Porsche 944 Spec Racer & Road Car - Engine First Start
Just an un-edited video of the first start of the restored engine of my 1985 Porsche 944 NA, street, trackday and racing restomod build. We are talking Norwegian :)
I ran the fuel pump separately beforehand to check for leaks and build fuel pressure. Then I cranked the engine for a few minutes without the DME relay to circulate the oil a bit. I reinstalled the DME relay and the fuse for the fuel pump, and then it just started right up.

My first Nordschleife trackday, July 3rd 2014 @ DN10 Nürburgring

This is my 4th lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife, during the Destination Nurburgring, DN10 trackdays. I'm driving a Golf GTI Mk7 rented form RentRaceCar, and is accompanied by an instructor that continuously feed me driving instructions. I get asked a lot about camber adjustments to IRS VW Beetles, they have the same geometry as a 924/944 (in fact the parts interchange) so the same theory applies. Thanks very much for this!

Sigover - was the instructor part of the 1149 EURO price or did you pay extra? We've been twice with RSR who let you take the car out completely on your own, even from scratch. I'd like to try the MK7 GTI from RentRaceCar if it's 'ours' for the day like the Megane's and BMW's we've had from RSR. Cheers.
I was there during a trackday held by Destination Nürburgring, DN10. The trackday admission was paid seperatly. I paid approx €800 for the car without Instructor, for the 12 laps.
Oli G: Yeah, it was a great day! You left me in the dust on that lap :) Bleezy D: I believe it had the PerformancePack, uprated suspension, Endless brake pads and Federal 595RS-R tires.
Is this the Performance Pack model or just standard GTI? Nice driving btw.
btw the guy in the GT-86 is a jerk face.
