I knew a man who worked at the Capital Records building, he saved the original mock up of the Beatles record 'Meet the Beatles ' from the trash. He had it framed in his closet.

Nat King Cole Was amazing. Thanks for creating this channel
@@glenallen9993 Thank you 😊

@KINGCOLE1965 awesome. I love all things Cole. My mom grew up on Nat King Cole and I grew up on Natalie Cole. I have many of Nat King Cole's CDs and all of Natalie's projects. I am one of the co creators of a Facebook group called the Coleologists which is dedicated to Natalie but we also feature any news on Nat King Cole as well.
I believe this set was at the Hollywood Bowl co-headlining with Nat King Cole. Nancy was at the very beginning of her outstanding career. She was always so confident & polished. Her trademark vocal fire & drama was displayed even then & continued to grow until her complete mastery by the early 1990's. Phyllis Hyman, Regina Belle & Anita Baker , all looked up to Nancy she was a role really for many. People like Al Jarreau & Natalie Cole., everyone loves Nancy. There needs to be a documentary on her life
@@Dion-s4t yes it was, check out my video of Nat .
To me the best arranger Nat worked with was Ralph Carmichael. Gordon Jenkins is a very close second. Nelson Riddle third, Billy May fourth, Dave Cavanaugh fifth, and Belford Hendricks sixth. I wish Nat worked with Stan Keaton more. Steady and Orange Colored Sky are two of Nat's best records. Just imagine a whole record with the two.
@@bectordeyes7086 My bad I forgot about Big Dave I guess because of him being a producer.
Thank you so much for creating this channel. I'm a huge Nat King Cole fan and I've learned so much more about him and his music through you. Your hard work and dedication is appreciated. 👍
@@bectordeyes7086 Thank You! 😊 I really appreciate the kind words! I’ll do my best to make more videos!!!
Thanks Danny for the Gleason video. I am a big fan of his music also. Would love to see a Paul Weston video too.
@@timotheus235 I’ll work on Paul Weston
His voice is INDEED unique. It sounds season, older. But He's not old! He sounds like he can sing a story musical! Very unique! My favorites are Orange colored sky and I don't want to see tomorrow. (He sings with Bill Kenny, the WHOLE WORLD is going to weep.)
Way back in the day, Nat broke down on the L.A. freeway, on the way to a performance. Chances then of anyone stopping to help a black man were slim to none, but one man did finally stop, and he drove Nat all the way to the studio, getting him to the event on time. Nat got his name and address, and had a new color t.v, very rare and expensive in those days, delivered to his home.
I loved him as a kid. Despite being a 2000's baby, he was by far my favorite singer, especially in the movie "Catbalou"
The great King❤
Great video Happy Thanksgiving 🍂🍁
@@djjoeykmusic Thank you! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Nat was an awesome talent and an excellent human being. God bless him .
one of the very best love his music !
THATS one Voice I truly miss. ❤
Another example of Nat 'King' Cole not being 'just' a great singer, but also a terrific pianist !
Thank you for uploading yet another Nat King Cole gem !
@@amylovendaal9732 You’re welcome 😊
Listening to this doesn't even come close to listening to Nat, but this has it's own charm and sure puts a great big smile on my face !

From one of my sources that is Nat on the piano!
Maybe I'm wrong, but something tells me that this isn't just Nat singing, but also Nat playing the piano .....
I will never get tired of listening to Nat King Cole's heartwarming voice ...... (I'm grateful for every upload, like this one)

Classic film.
Didn’t know Nat had so many siblings in the music industry.
@@primetimetv8452 Yes he did !
oooo
This video just showed me that Nat King Cole wasn't 'just' a great singer and pianist; he was a terrific all-round enterntainer !
Reading that Nat King Cole was ill with lung cancer and passed away 4 months before the movie was released, got me all choked up. Not only was he fabulous pianist and a great snger with a heartwarmng voice; he also was such a sweet man ...
Best Nat Cole song ever . Reminds me of my dad .

Nat king cole é único maravilhoso.
A tribute to his brother Nat - that is so sweet. Of course Ike doesn't sound anything like Nat, but he has his own sound and style, and I find it quite enjoyable to listen to him. Thank you for uploading this, Danny !

Thanks for listening, He had his own style. Check out my short, him being interviewed in 1966
@@KINGCOLE1965 I found it - pretty emotional ...... (I just realized that you can take "I found it" in two ways)
Nat King Cole is (was, unfortunately) not only a great singer, but also a fantastic pianist.
Nat's voice is heartwarming, as always - I only think that in this case the sound of the piano is a bit overbearing.
That’s what was on the recording! Lol that’s Freddy Cole Nat’s little brother
