Was that square named after Mary Swanson that babe from the movie Dumb & Dumber??😅😅😅
Baby steps 😂
No one see the saw come way off the line???
You have the blade to low !
There's always got to be one douche nozzle pointing out some sort of flaw..
another carpenter trick? Caulk and paint, make it what it aint... and bro, you should know as good as any carpenter, no matter what you do, there will always be another "carpenter" that will criticize or offer a better solution if it works or not, no need to defend your craftsmanship, people are gonna be people, and some of em know more than we will ever know, because after all, there's only one way to do things right in CUSTOM carpentry, right? I've been around long enough to know the true "right way" is the way the one who's writing the check wants it done
No scriber, fellas?
I just to have it in my tools but I was using it for something else” layout “ and I give it away now I want it back lol 😂😂😂😂keep it up bro with the good videos
Awesome thanks for sharing
Thank you
Thank you
I wish I would of seen this a week ago
How to determine max spacing of blocks for a block end beam foundation
What’s a stair gage?
All depends if the plank is straight. Putting your square on a donkey's hind leg of a plank still ain't gunna be square! :P
Dude honestly good video I honestly never knew that but ...... I got to admit you kinda look like that guy who stole woody
I am as God made me sir. 😁😁
Sadly once the saw has been dropped a few times it does not cut square to the square any more
5/12 makes for an ugly slope.
2x8 is actually 7 1/4"
bro, we've been using that "trick" for years..
Need a new blade
Aren’t you still using a speed square to cut a straight edge? The only difference is that it’s at an angle
You'll miss your hearing when older
Just glue it and ready!
Carpenters are so handy
Id have the ridge on the roof. Make sure its a straight board. Level it. Mark the angle with a board laying on roof. Cut the angle. Them cut to length. But really the first thing i usually dl is remove the shingles in the way.
So interesting
Thanks dad
I would ask why are you wasting my time and money.
Youd be there all day doing it like that
Dumb as hell
Use a pencil and control the saw
😂 short Long point speed square
❤ combination square
Go to dimensions of the boards not the dimensions of the wall built with those boards
Speed square comes with an instruction booklet. Give us a break. No one is that stupid. Get a job
Yes! I needed to see another speed square tutorial!! Loser.
For people who can't follow a line.
Well no shit…
Awesome! Thanks for sharing
I thought everyone knew that, that's common sense
welcone to the 1930s i have known to do this since the 80's when i got my first construction job
Speed square-the most under utilized tool to ever dawn the construction site.
Of course ❤
Oh! That's how they figure that out! That's what those inside numbers are? Pitch? Not that im ever gonna do this, but how do u figure out where to put it on the board? So like if the wall is 10ft away, where on the board do u mark it to make up for the pitch? Prolly just simple math? Lol
He used words that he did not explain in layman’s terms. Although he showed how to mark for a seat-cut, he did not explain what a pitch is and how to measure for a pitch of five. Do better!
U.K. I need to buy a square tool, any recommendations?
Its not that i hate math. it's that im dumber than a box of hammers, get it straight.
Think you oversold the video.
we just start hanging ridge beam....when we get close to adjoining roof, level beam and scribe the pitch with a 2x4 following the roof.....it solves the issue of where the beam hits the roof......Larry Haun trick I learned we cut rafters and raise ridge in between them, it locates where ridge will go without having to measure
