Looks great! It was satisfying to see both wheels turning together.
Sick Steering setup looks awesome she really is coming along quite nicely
The Start of a 5,000 hr project
Nice job on Center link and Heim Joint. Pitman arm too!!
That's the first I've ever seen side steering, it really looks cool and you did a nice job on it! I love the "cap" that you put on it as well, it would definitely look cool with the light lit up.
Thanks brother! I just did what I thought made sense and it actually worked out 😆
Looking good brother I'm diggin that light 👍🏻
@@IronheadGarage thanks brother!
I don't know if you've learned these fabrication techniques from someone else or on your own, but there's always something in each video that fascinates me.
I appreciate that man. I just wing it and hope it works out 😆
Measure twice, cut once! Haha! It's awesome how you're re-purposing parts that you don't need anymore back into parts for the car.
I try 😆
I was having trouble envisioning how the floor structure was going to be until this video, but it looks like it's going to be very sturdy! Happy to see more and more of it coming together! I didn't know you had a landscaping business (though I think I may have remembered you mentioning it in another video). I ought to have you come and see what you could do with ours. It's not a whole lot, but the previous owners had more time to keep up with it than we do.
PA plates ! Hey you in teh same state ? Next question, you going to the cadillac nationals in Gettysburg THIS upcoming week june 10th ? hope to see you there ! hope my eldo makes it..
dual carbs - standard for eldorado, not for coupe deville. You will see the gas gauge while you drive this, I worked with a guy and his dad had one and he told, you could see the gas gauge drop while driving.
ha, I was talking to her ! She needed to sell. Near warren ohio right ? But I already have a 56. I like them both, 55 and 56 and 59, then 65-68. That trim is hard to find, that is lower rocker panel...and they are different based on model !
I have a 50 deluxe, I can't see anything out of mirrors, your are a little different can you see out of yours?
Not real good no
At 22:35, I'm not sure if it was me not being awake or what, but I'm seeing a creepy eyeballs and smile in your firewall. LOL! I enjoyed watching this update. A chat session (even one-way) is nice to break things up and answer those unanswered questions and curiosities. I also love channels like yours where people don't edit everything out. Like your daughter coming in to see you in this one. If I wanted to watch scripted content, I'd watch a movie. Haha!
Thanks brother! I have fun with these videos. I'm glad some of you like them.
Can you drop a link for the _GROUND hat that was shown in the video. I would like to order one. TYIA

Great video brother. Would be very cool to be able to do TH-cam full time for a living. The shop is my domain I could spend hours on end out in the shop it's a addiction lol. Have a great weekend man👍🏻
You're getting there brother!
I’m building a 36 ford truck with a suicide front end as well. Your video is a great help thanks. Keep the good video’s coming.
Thank you! Will do
I was going to sub then realized that I already was. Man I have a lot to catch up on. Love those gassers. I have a gasser style 55 Chevy like Chris at Ironhead garage. Homebuilt cars.👍👍
Thank you. It's much appreciated!
If I may I'd like to start off by saying that my back started hurting after watching you lift up the block off your truck. I know that it takes time to hook up the cherry picker but you don't want your back hurting later in life. We all don't have the money to have our cars built for us. You will have the satisfaction of saying that You built it! I've been working on my brothers and friends cars as well as my own. I know what I did and why. Yes sir you gotta cut stuff to make it work. 💯
That was a cherry firewall but you gotta cut to make it cool 😎 Also I Used to be able to pick up blocks like that! 😢
I was thinking that the engine block would be a tighter fit than it turned out to be from the previous videos, but it looks like you'll have a good bit of room. I agree with your thinking too, to make sure you have enough stopping power to match your "go" power. Too many people only focus on the latter and end up learning the hard way. Great job on the progress! To get as far as you have would have taken me months!
Looking good brother have a great weekend 👍🏻
Thanks brother!
Hey brother Chris 👋
uhh silicone?
promo sm
Looking really sharp! That front end came out very nice and again, I'm loving the stance! Your daughter's getting big too, I think she was still in diapers the last time I saw her.
Thanks brother! Yes, time is a flying.
Pretty sweet to have it sitting on its own weight. Just make sure you have 6 to 8 degrees negative caster on those kingpins. That means the top of the kingpins need to lean back towards the firewall which will make it steer right. Not sure if you know about sitting up the right caster figured I would mention it from one gear head to another. Your getting it brother have a good weekend 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you! I need every piece of advice I can get. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
I wonder what Elvis presley would say about it?
Stance looks really good. I bet it was nice to see it on 4 wheels again. Depending upon the strength of your front leaf spring, the engine might not make it droop at all.
HELL YEAH, TAKE YOUR TIME HAVE FUN, I SPEND DAYS ON BUILDING DIFFERENT THINGS, GET ANOTHER PART, THEN CHANGE THE FIRST IDEA. START OVER. ITS A SLOW WAY, BUT ITS A GREAT TIME BUILDING FROM YOUR HEAD. I,VE BEEN BUILDING OLD RODS FROM WRECKING YARD PARTS FOR 30 YRS. STILL BUILDING , HAVING FUN. SO DO YOUR THING. I,M WATCHING, ONE OF MINE , CHECK IT OUT IF YOU WANT KAWBOY 22O, 37 PLY. BUILT FROM JUNK. YOURS WILL BE AWESOME.
I like how well lit the whole process was. Thank you 😊
I have a camper thats titled as a 1974 Rover and has the same exterior profile. I cant find any information about the Rover coach company. Were you ever able to find any history or informative about them?
I could never find anything on that camper at all. It was strange.
I'm really liking the looks of it! The stance is better than I had imagined it was going to be. It's also always satisfying to save a lot of money by fabricating your own parts.
Yes as much as possible lol
Is the bench vise a new addition to the shop?
I got it about 2 years ago at a yard sale for 20 bucks
I made a comment on your first vid of the caddie. The correct battery is about 4 inches wide or so and between 16 and 18 inches long. When i got the battery for my 55 i couldnt beleave thats what it takes. I got mine from pasco batterys. Im not sure if they still stock them it was many years ago
The correct style battery for these cars looks like a old tractor battery. When i got my 55 caddy when i was 18 and got a new battery for it i asked them to double check to make sure thats what it takes.
Looking good man that stance gonna be killer!!
Thank you!
Making progress!
Trying 😆
Nice!👍🏻
Wow, you had far more patience wrangling that axle than I would have. With my temper, things (possibly the axle itself) would have gone flying - and likely through, or into something. I admire your calmness through that! Axle looks good! Watching the process took me back to when I was 15 and did the exact same thing on the axle on my Chevelle.
Yeah its definitely something I only like to do maybe once a year 😆
My uncle used to have one of these things I think it was a del Rey or a Biscayne it was a four-door I know that and had a 283 in it
I bet that was heavy!
No follow up video?
He sold it
Cool idea! Looks very sturdy too.
Thanks man. It definitely will be after I finish Weld everything.
that front Front Crossmember using the old Torque Tube is genius killer job
Thank you! After searching for 3 inch pipe forca day I gave up and realized the torque tube was perfect
I love it brother, I too will utilize whatever I got to make shit work, have a great weekend
Thanks brother! Right on! I need to catch up on your build.
I know that it's a common thing in metal and woodworking using cuts to make smooth bends, but it's always a neat thing to see once it's all filled (or glued) in. With your breaker popping in the garage, I'll bet it was frustrating making all of those welds.
Yes its super annoying 😆
Front of the frame is looking a lot better now
Yes it had to be done.
THATS WHATS NICE ABOUT BUILDING YOUR OWN,PROGRESS CHANGES ALL THE TIME, GOOD OR BAD, IT GREAT TINKER TIME. .I HAVE DRIVEN MY 34 BUICK, BUT STILL CHANGING THINGS. TURN ON THE TUNES, HAVE A GREAT BUILD.
I fully agree! Thank you. I can't wait for you guys to see what's to come on this car. It changes quite a bit.
