    Awesome video man! i ended up getting a 14k BTU unit from Della, it does both heating and cooling, i was going to drill a hole through the brick to vent, but i didnt want to go through what you did. I ended up veting mine through the ceiling and into the attic, the installation location is on the very end of the house where the big vent for the attic is, so it worked out. I converted my garage into a bedroom, so not having A/C wasnt an option in south alabama. First day of the install, the garage was 99 degrees, it took about 6 hours to get it down to the high 70s (still no insulation yet) but once it got to a reasonable temp, the highest it gets is 85, and with the unit running, even at 85, its very comfortable. Overall, its worked pretty well!

    I bought mine almost a year ago. Someone somewhere on one of these videos told me that the pull start didn't work with gas, only with propane. For some reason I just assumed they were right. But a few months ago when trying to start it (with gas), I had accidentally drained the battery previously, so the push button wouldn't work. So I (get this!) read the owner's manual, and it says to manually activate the choke (push it over with your finger), THEN pull the cord when using gas. So I did that. And it started on the first pull, and I didn't even pull it very hard. (The more you know...rainbow.)

    I have this generator and one thing I didn't know about when I bought it is the harmonics. In order to run electronics it is recommended that your generator have a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of 5% or less. The generator in this video, the wgen 9500, has a THD of <= to 23%. If you want a generator that can run your house and has good enough harmonics for electronics go for the next size up, the wgen 12000. It costs almost twice as much as this one and, when I bought my generator, I thought the only thing I was getting for that extra $1000 was more wattage but it also has cleaner power.

    We bought ours in 2021. Power went out today (it’s still out), it initially ran the AC and the house. But then it tripped, and now when we try to turn on the AC with everything else off, it still won’t start the AC; it trips every time. I’m incredibly disappointed. No idea why it can’t power on the AC when it initially did. What a waste of money. 😡

    Just bought one for a replacement for my 8750 watt. Love it. Smooth running and steady power on the meter. The remote is great. During the Florida hurricanes I power my entire house with my old one, for a few hours at a time. It will be nice not having to go out in the hurricane to shut it down and restart it. Wired into my 200a panel box, so other than the initial main breaker shutdown, I won't have to go out in the wind, rain and flying debris.

    Pavers should be level. I went inside my pool before filling it and used my feet to pull the wrinkles and then again as it was filling. No wrinkes now. While the pool fills, every 39 min you should adjust the legs which is why pavers shouldn’t go too close to the pools liner as they will pull out. Wider pavers are better but we had a 16ft concrete slab poured to avoid unleveled ground and pavers potentially touching the liner. Installing a wall skimmer tomorrow!

    BIG COUNTRY, First, thank you for the video. I purchased a Westinghouse WGen9500C but it shuts off the breaker when I turn on a 4 Ton A/C. Would the extra ton do this? Do you think a soft start kit would resolve the problem. Florida Hurricanes are coming soon and would like to have A/C. The generator runs independent of the A/C for two refrigerators, microwave, TV outlet with no problem. Thanks. Debra

    • @BigCountrysWay
      @BigCountrysWay 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I definitely think a soft start will get you squared away! If you’re using a dual fuel model and using propane, try running it on gasoline for your AC.

    • @rivvanredorb
      @rivvanredorb หลายเดือนก่อน

      I had the same issue this week when hurricane Beryl hit Houston here where I am at. It ran my AC, fridge, freezer and other small things perfectly the first day on 4 hours, off 4 hours to conserve gas, seeing that all the gas stations were down. It also ran just fine during the freeze a year ago and the first couple times this week, but then all of a sudden it wouldn't run just the AC by itself only the last few hours before power ultimately got restored luckily, it kept tripping the generator breaker if I tried running the AC. After it Beryl passed, I contacted Westinghouse and they told me that I needed to "float the neutral". There's plenty of videos on TH-cam showing how and it's super easy that anyone can do it in 5 minutes time. You're supposed to float the neutral wire WHEN HOOKING THE GENERATOR UP TO A HOUSE PANEL. If you are not doing that and using it with extension cords or for tools, etc, like on a construction site, then you leave it bonded to the frame as it comes. For emergencies like hurricanes, it had to be floated and not bonded to the frame. There's a sticker on this generator stating that it's "bonded to the frame" at the lower right part of the panel near the 50 Amp plug. So if you are connecting to the house panel, you need to take the panel off, remove the 2 screws and float the neutral wire by removing the wire and reconnecting both ends to the neutral bolt. It eventually gave me issues because there was two grounds the current was traveling through, eventually producing a false overload so to speak (not an electrician), going by what they said, and it eventually started tripping the breaker each time the AC turned on. I already ordered my soft start kit and will be installing that here soon to help alleviate the initial start up load on the generator reducing by almost half. I even already had a reliance Controls 50 Amp plug and cord, 50amp breaker, including a whole home surge protector, hooked into the panel prior to this when the freeze hit here. I'm looking forward to adding the soft start kit and floating the neutral wire and see the difference. When I had the 50amp plug installed 2 years ago at the freeze, the electrician ran the whole 2600sf house, no issues, as a test at the time. I don't plan on doing that during emergencies to conserve gas, but it was nice seeing that it could. So I do know that it is possible. Good luck!

He's had a real problem with power outages and the tri fuel generator is just what he needed in that hot, humid city. The extra holes in the skimmer are for attaching the outside skimmer to a pool with metal walls and/or attach a wide mouth opening. You'll use the buttonhead screws for that, but you don't use that when you got a soft liner. Stop cutting the gasket in to two pieces. It's a double gasket for a reason and since you have drained your pool, you didn't have to cut it at all.
