Enjoying festive vibes while cruising above the Chicago streets on the CTA Holiday Train!
you suck
hey just wondering does it has an internal clock divider for the external clock signal
Not as far as I know. Nothing on the panel indicates that but manual will confirm next week.
@@VM_VM1987 thank you so much!
I can understand moog dfam subharm & mother fans loving but non moog fan boys can get alot more for alot less
Thanks.
👍
Lucky you
I have no idea how that sequencer works. What does « let it do its thing » knob do? Is there any way to make it musical?
The Corrupt knob is some sort of random CV/gate generator. The more you turn it the more variation there will be. Unfortunately you're kind of at its mercy in terms of what notes it spits out so it's not something you can really program, but at the same time this could also lead to many happy accidents. You can also quantize the CV in one of 16 chromatic modes (unquantized, major, minor, etc..). Plus you can turn notes on/off, shift them over, set length... so there's a fair amount of control over everything except specific CV notes. Hope that helps.
when is moog releasing a 5-6 slot Sound Studio stand? i want to get this and the Spectravox but i dont want them sitting loosely on my desk like a POOR IMBECILE
Hmmm... Too late in the year to be an April Fool's joke. Is there really such an animal as the Labyrinth in the works? What happened with the Muse?
Yeah, but can it actually make any noises that don’t sound like absolute dogshit?
I agree, good job. This is one of the only videos that just goes right to the sounds. Not too much talking, which I think everybody appreciates. If you get a chance, can you make another video and just demonstrate the sounds with the card on the face of the scent, and also using the patch cables in the patchbay were indicated?would love to see it
Thanks! This guy actually went through and did all the preset patches: th-cam.com/video/xoONzOPkwiw/w-d-xo.html
Rave and jungle blasting like its 1994 in the UK
Is it just the demo or is this device really tedious?
Worst unboxing video I have ever seen
Okay cool, it's a synthesizer, it makes sounds. But wtf is it and why did YOU get one so early?? Who do you know sir 😂
This'll sound great paired with my subharmonic-randomicon... 😊
This was painful to watch
This is a terrible presentation. At least record the sound directly into an interface. How did you get this?
eh?
Really not selling it at all. How is this an official first demo? Unbelievable. However at least I can see the potential despite the awful demo
For 'totally bonkers sound' read 'extremely unpleasant noise'.
... Sounds like demos from the 90's. Terrible job not helping Moog. Please stop.
That doesn't sound like a sweetspot machine
Color me underwhelmed. 😐
Aretha Franklin deeper love cuz that's what's up
He got his hands on an unannounced product from Moog, but can't get a tripod? It's a poor presentation and I imagine Moog isn 't happy about it unless they secretly released it to him. Moog should have just made it public and sent one to Loopop to review instead.
I hope no one's paying this guy to teach...
Cool video! I'm the other guy with a video. I'd be interested in your buying and interacting with Moog/Inmusic experience.
It's going to be very interesting to pair this with the spectravox as a carriersignal. looking forward to get my hands on one of these 🙂
It just sounds like a DFAM with a ring modulator
Did I just have huge expectations or is this thing a bit underwhelming?
It sounds underwhelming because this guy do not know know how to use it in the slightest.
maybe try other vids, like Jan Juno's tweaking-the-hell-out series? I dunno, I had none to low expectations, and now thinking it might be the first synth I might buy in recent years (a sampler/musique concrete person here). there's something special in it, like a very organic blend of many blocks - from control to (not listed) saturation, from generative (which I dislike in principle) to sequenced. might be wrong, ofc, but it deserves a better look I guess
It's not going to blow people's minds on first use. The random nature of the pitch sequencer means it's always going to be hit and miss in terms of immediate musical usability. But Moog have given a ton of tone building blocks--FM/RM/WShaping/multimode filter--so it's definitely more of an explore and happy accident machine.
@@VM_VM1987 Don't let a-holes drag you down. Thanks for the vid.
I'm sure this synth that sounds like a circuit bent kids toy purchased for $2 at the thrift shop will be worth the $700 price tag
I don't know... video a bit embarrassing, if I were in Moog I would have it deleted...
same
This is a very different product than what Moog has previously made. I'm not sure that I'll buy one, just based on the various modules I already own. This seems that it would work well (musically) with the Subharmonicon and DFAM.
I wish you recorded the line out. Your button clicking is louder than the synth.
Wow, how do you have this??
Sounds like a Behringer edge or a glorified DFAM
sounds like you are clueless when it comes to sound. I mean you and that other troll are truly clueless when it comes to Moog. You blame the kids for what happened to the company? They had nothing to do with it.
Very interesting 👍
Is there a signal flow diagram inside the box lid? Or is that something else?
It's a signal flow diagram
What’s the max sequence length, 8?
16 if you chain them, but they also run in parallel and can be set to different lengths (and mixed) so there can be much "longer" variation within those 8 steps.
Good to see MooginMusic making something new to go alongside the DFAM SubH and mother 32.
Behringer Maze in .3...2...1...
the patch is called “instant techno drums”
So many drum sounds here...
Yeah, but he hasn’t patched the cables as shown on the patch….
I really hope that "Instant Techno Drums" is not really printed on the units and that is a patch overlay.
All Moog semi-modulars come with overlays like this. I don’t know why this person didn’t use the patchbay.
@@patrickj8339 I realized that upon closer inspection. Their euro line, while well constructed, has always tried to cram too many features and not enough building blocks to come across as anything other than gimmicky to me.
looks like a disguised neutron
nothing related to neutron, it is a west cost synth.
Looks like a Behringer unit.
Strange that you never touched the U- Mix knob ..... exceedingly bad review ,-
This "review" gave me such a freaking syndrome.
@@youmayberight lol ! After listening to the various tryouts , i really got the GAS for this unit ,-
Good observation--it doesn't do anything unless you patch something into it in patchbay.
My God guys, if you have to do such bad demos, you'd better let someone else do them.
Not glitzy enough for you? Influencers suck moosecock .
He's got the synth and if you don't like his video you can just wait for someone else to get the synth and do a video that you like better. Why crap on this guy's show?
I'll explain why. First of all, this is not the first time that moog has run into these strange presentation 'errors', just think of Muse and its bad previews. Evidently inmusic doesn't give a damn about these oversights. The problem is that if I look at a demo like that today, it makes me not want to buy the synthesiser. On the other hand, one more day would have sufficed to make a video with a minimum of decency, it would have made a good impression on Moog and also on the owner of the instrument, but evidently the desire to make a video practically based on viewing and not on the content, as it turned out to be, was so great These 'levity' dynamics of moog (inmusic) are ruining what little is left of an emblazoned brand. Once upon a time these things would never have happened@@gainofdysfunction4135

What does it do?
Nothing really interesting...
