Everyday Adventures with Amphibious Human
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 23 มิ.ย. 2015
Life is an Adventure. In my life, I have adventured to many places and learned many things. I was trained as a Marine Engineer and think like one. I know I can figure out/repair/just about anything. This channel is about my everyday adventures in repair/how to/ trips/etc... I don't consider myself an expert in anything. If you want expert advice pay for an expert. I am a practical person just like you. Don't be afraid to attempt anything new and be careful walking out your door, you never know what kind of adventure you may find.

I have shipped fish fillets home in the past and it was really really expensive. This year we wanted to get the fillets home cheaper so we brought a backpack cooler really cheap and froze water bottles and carried them on the plane. Here is our adventure 👍

Steamboat Glade runs with Pink Floyd and Grateful Dead. I made this video to have something to look at and listen to while I am hammering away on the dreadmill "treadmill" or stationary trainer during those long winter nights in the northeast when it's too late or too crappy outside. I am by no means an expert... at anything... If it helps you through a few training sessions on the treadmill or...

How do you keep the algae from growing in the barrel??
What do you do to prevent freezing in the winter ?
You will have to buy a heater. I have heard a fish tank heater works as well as anything. You would have to drop it down inside and plug it in.
Looks good until a chicken tries to use it as a perch or roost, i like it tho because you could use one barrel and potentially water 4 separate pens.
I've been trying to come up with a nice system like this for awhile now and I love your design. Do you have an update on the effectiveness of this system? Anything you would change looking back? I was always thinking about incorporating some sort water collection system into what you have here. The coop I built is on a slant so i've trying to design a system that could catch the falling water off the slanted roof and then funnel it into that drum (passing through a variety of meshes and stuff to remove ick).
It works well. I heat traced it for winter and wrapped it in a tarp for insulation. I didn't glue it because i stick the PVC pipe through the run metal wire, so just in case I have to move it it's just press fit
Thanks for the video, making an auto watering system is the next project for my coop, great tips.
Good luck!
@@everydayadventureswithamph6232 Ended up going with a Rubbermaid Brute foodsafe trashcan instead, unable to source a clean enough 55 gallon drum around here. Project is on my page of your interested.
Super helpful- thank you!! Thinking of using this for my rabbitry
Glad it was helpful!
That is really awesome that you guys, paddled all the way out there, found the wreck, dove down 70ft and shot fish! My family and I are going to Destin this summer and my brother and I are hoping to do the same kind of spearfishing trip. Thanks for the video! Any tips or lessons learned you can share?
sorry for the late reply. How was the trip? Did you get out there?
@Everyday Adventures with Amphibious Human no, I didn't get out there. Not even close. My family looked at me like I was crazy so I didn't have any dive partners. Oh well, maybe next time. Thanks for the reply :)
Subscribed!!! Sweet setup Nathan
Thanks. I love this thing. Best purchase I ever made
There is a cricket in background symbol of luck
I tried to see if I could adjust the sound to make it quieter but didn’t figure out how to do it with the editing app I was using
Cool set up bud
Thanks, I love this thing.
How hard of a free dive is this wreck?
It's at 70-80 feet. Not much current, so it depends on your comfort level at that depth. I couldn't see the wreck from the surface and it's not marked with a buoy so a GPS and depth finder would be useful... or go when a dive boat is out there.
