Riley, would you ever be interested in making a short video of your Amazing and authentic way you ring those up strums and how you manage to hit the down picks so loud and clear as a bell? I have sat here for so many days and tried to figure out your picking n strummin pattern or technique. I am 46 and grew up down the road from the legendary Sunset Park in Westgrove, PA. Spent many summer days there seeing and hearing all the greats. I never really got to hear a person sing and do so many legendary covers with just a man and his banjo or guitar and play them in a more genuine style as you do. I’ve racked my brain and play your videos on the slowest speed setting and I Still can’t figure out what you’ve got going on. Those last loud ringing upstrums has been a sound that I’d probably do anything to learn how. I sing and play in my little church. My wife will sometimes harmonize with me,but it’s just me and my 1982 K.Yairi YW600 that is a boomer of a flat top and I feel that if I had a few of your talents, my hymns would sound a lot better to the ears of my poor congregation. I’m the only guitar picker in the church. I grew up with the Stanley Brothers gospel and sacreds for my musical inspiration. Thank your dear mother for me for keeping the news of The Cross in many of your songs. You’re a talented and a blessed young man. Thank you for keeping traditional bluegrass music your mission for you young fellas to pass on to the next generation.
