@@wholeworldtoexplore The majority of the embassy buildings shown are unremarkable. If I wanted to actually get the address of the location, Google will give me the address. Useless embassy videos.

⁠ You should consider doing that and Google street view.

@@wholeworldtoexplore Why would I need to view what the embassy looks like? If I need to visit the embassy for whatever reason, any trip app will get me to that address. Once again, the architecture of the building is blah, so why do I need to know what it looks like?

All embassies are like this in Ottawa. I mean, most of them have a big gate, but that is about it. I think most normal countries are like this. Where on earth are you? Afghanistan? Syria? China?

@alan5506 Germany. US Embassy is next to the Brandenburg Gate. No place for a real fence there, but lots of security in front and back.

Typically, embassies in Ottawa are not guarded. You are free to walk past or around it, and take pictures and videos, provided you do not exhibit any suspicious behaviour.

@@heldt952 Interesting. I wouldn't expect that in Germany. I went to Warsaw and the Canadian embassy only had guards in the gate entry. I recall the russian embassy had one guard that stood outside the gate. But always a lot of gates. The Canadian embassy did have a no photo sign. Overall, it didn't particularly strike me as more guarded than Ottawa but I suppose there was more visible guards than in Ottawa.

The fish was biting in this case though.

Once the fish is on hook, it is legal to catch in a net in Canada.
