I had a Right lobe thyroidectomy. I developed nodules on the left as well that grew. I was referred to Tulane University Medical Center, where I had 4 RFA. I have good care, serial ultrasounds, and labs to determine treatment going forward. I highly recommend this procedure if appropriate.

If a thyroid is diagnosed at 90%risk of cancer and has not been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, does the patient qualify for ablation?? Also, if qualified, does Kaiser perform ablation? Doctors seem to only push surgery and say ablation is not recommended because it cannot be followed.

I was told my right thyroid nodule is 90% risk of cancer but I was not diagnosed with cancer, I asked the doctor if I qualify for ablation and she said no. She only recommended I remove half my thyroid. Please tell me where I can have this ablation done?

I'm so thankful for this video. Thank you 🙏. I will have a biopsy of my nodule next week to see if it's cancerous. I'm praying that it will be benign. My endocrinologist did say that if it's cancerous surgery will take it out. I don't want surgery.

Segun tengo hipotiroidismo no tuve todos esos síntomas solo algunos. Cambie mi alimentación deje las harinas refinadas, refrescos y azúcar.

I thought this was a new procedure, but apparently it's not. I spoke to a lady who supposedly got this procedure done 45 years ago & she said that it destroyed half her thyroid & that she doesn't recommend it.
