Our forerunner was KSKC-TV a public television channel on the Flathead Indian Reservation that was hosted by Salish Kootenai College. When it was decided that the television station was to be taken off the air it was our desire to create a TH-cam channel to continue hosting our original content.

Beautiful, thank you for sharing
I am glad to see this group singing in the Salish language. These great people sharing songs for the holidays, from elder singers, and young people is a step toward saving the Language. I am always happy to see Johnny, still being a great teacher.

Back in late 60s early 70s a different style of Fancy cane out of Rocky Boy! Neck bustle was much smaller northern using secondary wing feathers. Back bustles was the larger spike feathers. Rocky Boy started the use of sport knee pads above bells which were used for flips and sometsaults and tricks on one or both knees! Cool thing can use small neck bustle for Chicken Dance and larger back bustle for Traditional since Northern Bustles no hackles
I was born 1998 more chickens please that's my category 😊

Which one of the Salishan languages is that? Is that Nuxalk?
Its only a slur for eastern European roma and the reson its seen as a slur ther is because Romanians refuse to accept roma and romani as a word . The rest of the world its not an isue .
it drives me insane how normalized the g slur is. people call their dogs it and use it as slang to swindle someone its so disgusting how arrogant people can be. thank you for making this video.
Do you mean gypsy ?
That girl from over east was named gypsy she killed her mom.

I went to this pow wow when I was eight years old in Rocky Boy. My Uncle used to be a captain on the force and my Aunt a Social Worker.
Good Pow wow
My grandmother Guadalupe Gonzales from Bejer de San Antonio, Tejas, Commanche Chief of Texas now as a grown man wish the best for all tribe's of every nation. I'll pass wisdom to everyone. The original design of powwow was to bet the seeds of wheat, and flour in by foot even the roots of the plant stepped on till the dirt was soft enough for the wind to carry the top of soil, just before a storm the elders keeped called a farmer almanac that keep tracks of rain fall thru growth patterns of crop's naturally. A secondary measure just in case the settlements of north rerouted water flow's the state of Texas greatly needed.
Thank you so much (drotsiherbalcure) for the difference you make in the lives of your patients! Your kindness, sincere caring, treatment and concern make everything better and you are a great encouragement to humanity. Keep saving lives Dr. thanks for curing my Herpes virus.........

Lemlmsh for that interview. Larry Parker was a member of our drum group, Sunrise. He would call me his baby niece. He would ride with my family on powwow highway. He would always pitch in for gas, or a motel room for the Sunrise drum. He would always be well dressed with a suiit jacket and matching jeans.
This is my aunt. I haven't seen her or heard her voice in years since she passed. Thank you for sharing this little bit of her life and her passion.
