I have led quite a colorful creative life in the entertainment industry, first as a dancer, (even a Los Angeles Laker Girl in the 80s) , then a music video and commercial director, designer, and event producer.
All the while my passion for buying, renovating, and restoring properties remained constant. The daughter of a demolition contractor, who brought home old treasures when I was a child, fueled my desire to rescue beauty. I'll never forget the brass turn-of-the-century cash register! My love of antiquities, vintage furniture, clothing, and textiles will continue to be a thread, well, FOREVER!
A dream for MANY years, the planets have finally aligned for the beginnings of a 'Fairytale Finding' search for the perfect French Chateau to restore and begin my 'Happily Ever After'!
Come along as I Drive, Drink, Dine, Dance (and even Date) my way across France, following my instincts & mostly my heart!
Welcome to GoGo Chateau!

Road to the Mothership - Château de Lalande Ep 9
Join me as I take a spin around Limoges, the porcelain capital of the world, (spoiler: not my vibe). Then catch wind of a chateau going up for auction, so I do some snooping at the auction site, without an appointment (and yes, I totally get in trouble). I take refuge at yet another stunning chateau before finally making my way to the mothership, Château de Lalande. ❤

I just had your doppleganger over for dinner and we watched all your content! She’s a producer ! You two are crazy similar in looks and personality and taste! I had to introduce her to your channel! We must drink clown wine one day together in France! In chateau or yours? ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Think about a Patreon account.❤
I love the driving. Getting to see the country from that vantage point is an added bonus.
Stephanie Jarvis is a fake, lazy, grifter in a fake relationship with a petulant Gay Twink👌🏿
Americans need to pay attention to the minimal trash if any on the roads and streets. What are Americans so trashy and so disrespectful throwing trash everywhere but garbage receptacles?
Why not What ..I meant to type.
So what is the blue thing next to the gas cap?
Ah man it's called Ad Blue and it's an additive you have to add to a diesel car for emissions. but I was totally clueless, never had a diesel vehicle - Now I know, trial by fire!
Wow, great episode, how exciting to see what you got!!!! I love your enthusiasm and bravery going for your passion!!! I can't wait to see more!!!!
Thanks Love! Likewise - we are doing this thang!
Hi! Love your show! I also watched all of the DYI chateau shows during Covid lockdown. My husband and I have stayed at Chateau de Lalande last September. Love Stephanie and Philip! All of the Lalanders as well. Such a lovely group of people. It’s so strange to feel like you know them. Yet they don’t know you! We stayed in Orleans too. Love everything Joan of Arc! I’m sure you watch Chateau Love? Vivienne and Simon have a Joan of Arc room in there chateau. So cool! Keep up your journey. We’re considering one as well.
@@PamelaSomers-qq4cp Hi Pamela! Thanks so much for the support! Agreed on all fronts and, YES do it!!! It’s completely bonkers but we’ve got this one life!!!
Hello, I have just added you to my list of channels to watch. I began watching chateau renovations and farm house renovations, with Doing it Ourselves, Michael Petherick. I eventually found Stephanie's channel in 2020 sometime. From her I have added several other chateau's. I live in Canada, am 72 and think I would have liked to have bought property in France if I was 30 yrs younger. I follow Dan, all the Petherick channels, The Moons, French Farmhouse Diaries, etc. just a few I take follow. Ronnie in Saskatchewan
@@ronniemensch2400 Bonjour Ronnie & thanks so much for the follow! Yes the chateauverse is vast and sooooo interesting!
Just came across your channel for the first time, and subscribed. I'm also an avid viewer of The Chateau Diaries, and I love Château de Lalande (and chateaus in general). You said to let you know who we are, so...I have a background in film, acting, performance art, photography, visual art, writing, etc. I grew up in some beautiful old houses full of antiques--back in Pennsylvania. One was a B&B for awhile. Others were Victorians.
Hi Soul Sister! I love my creative peeps! Thanks so much for subscribing and for helping to keep the dream alive!
As a European I am not interested in the driving part. I‘d love to have seen more of the buildings and castles. I don‘t know why the driving part was so long.
Hi, nice video. Question pls…how many pair of glasses do you have?!
That's hilarious! I have no idea have never counted.
Cute outfit!!
Thanks Lady! A Vintage polyester "Leisure Suit' the 1960's equivalent to 'Active Wear' lol
Hello from Nashville, Tennessee ! I love your new and fresh approach to Chateau hunting! You are so adorable! I am glad I found your channel!
Awwww thank you so much! I got a comment the other day that said, 'you are goofy and tacky and not elegant like the other channels you reference' LOL DELETE and BLOCK. No meanies at my party!
This is old footage from some years ago of La Lande - the chateau dairies. Chateau La Lande has changed, improved so much since you have been there, it's been a good few years since you went there?
This is the linear retelling of my journey to becoming a chatelaine. I have been there several times since.
Fun new adventure! I loved driving around the French countryside and if you have more footage I’d watch.
okie dokie! there is so much LOL
If you like the Angers area, have you reached out to Rob and Leslie at Chateau de Grifferaire? They may have some ideas for you. They have a TH-cam channel. 🎉
Hi June, Yes we are in touch. They are lovely and have been very helpful!
@ Love that! Good luck with your search.
Came across your channel and cant believe how delusional you and other people of that scammer. 30K a month from patrons and all she does is travel in luxury. fools
So I’ve been following Château diaries for years. Your video was a suggestion in my TH-cam feed. I like what I see so far but when you film, can you go just a little bit slower? I live in North Idaho. So I’m excited to follow you on your adventures through France. When you went to this neat little village where you stayed with the tunnels. And walking through the streets it felt like it was gonna be a hallmark movie. Where you’re a single woman you come to their village and all these villagers want to help you find love and slip cards under the door. In this case your looking for a Chateau to fall in love with ❤️
HI, Awesome, A Hallmark Rom-Com? I love that, I'll take it!!! - When you say go a little slower do you mean cut it (edit) slower? Like stay on the shots longer? My background is in music video and commercial production so we are quick storytellers.LOL
just realised that you must have been at lalande quite a long time ago.. going by Dan's van, that doesn't exist any more... I follow him restoring his chateau on Escape to Rural France. Its quite a show!
@@florentinalily Yep- This is a linear retelling of my journey to be a Chatelaine! It will be current day in a few episodes.
Fun video, new sub here! I’m an American with a background in film & TV as well. Lifelong francophile and chateau lover, now splitting my time between France and Eastern Europe while working as an astrocartographer. Now I’m curious to look at your birth chart to see where in France might be the perfect place to find your own chateau! If you’re at all interested in astrology, def look up your astrocartography lines/aspects/parans - might be a great roadmap for your hunt!
Hey Kim! That’s so cool! Kindred Spirits to be sure! Would love to hear about your previous life and the current one. Where in Eastern Europe? I had an astrocartography reading about 5 months ago & the best place for me was Brasov Romania 😅… I still wanted to be in France so I will go to Romania when I need to kick my career into overdrive! LOL! She just messaged me today to go to Bordeaux in August near my wealth line. I’m gonna do all of it!!! I am in NW France now (next episode explains why) 😜
@@GoGoChateau I'm all the way over in the stunningly lovely nation of Georgia (on a North Node line) at the moment, and next week I'll be back in France (at my Jupiter / Venus crossing). Oh gosh, I hope your astrocartographer looked at more than just your planet angle lines. I often have people with certain geographic constraints and there is a lot more nuanced info to be explored. If you're still around when I get to France, let's grab a coffee and I'd be happy to look at your map/chart. On me, you've piqued my curiosity! And we can also discuss previous set life -- don't miss it, but would certainly do it again -- no regrets 🤓
Love it! Yes let’s connect. DM me on Instagram ? GoGo.Chateau or Mor_is_Mor 🙏🏻
Trucks are banned off the roads on Sundays in France. Roads are maintained by the commune (village or town) that you drive through. National motorways are maintained by the National or privately owned companies and N roads in between by the Prefecture of the Departments. Thanks for the vlog; new to the channel (I live in France and have stayed at Lalande) and like your style!
@@florentinalily Awesome! Thanks for the road maintenance clarity! That’s what is great about this community people share their knowledge!
Another Patron of CD here. I’m from Melbourne and love the Chateauverse too. Will definitely be following along. It’s on my bucket list to get there. Would love to invest with others and live in Chateauland. Ive subscribed xx
@@wendylinsen3900 Yay, thanks Wendy! You need to meet my friend Kerry who I met at Lalande and she lives in Melbourne too! She was here a few weeks ago… Kindred spirits unite!
I just came across your channel, and watched first the video of going to Lalande (they're wonderful there, and in fact I'm going there Monday for a visit). But something amazing is that chateau you went to see. Before I moved to France I'd been obsessed with that chateau from its listing. I actually had all kinds of ideas of what to do with it. Anyway, it was not affordable for me, and after your viewing of it I think it was not really for me even if I could have afforded it. Such a strange coincidence that was your first chateau to see. I hope you're able to realise your dream.
HI Ron! That's crazy! We must have the same taste then... From your small profile photo, you look familiar - have you been on the vlog previously? Where did you end up moving to? Are you near Lalande? Please say hi from me when you go... I haven't been able to get back as I'm (spoiler) up to my eyeballs at my own property. If you tune in you'll see it soon, Hopefully the episode will be done for Sunday if not early next week. Thanks for reaching out!
@@GoGoChateau You've got a good eye. Yes, I've been on her VLOG a few times, most recently when they went to Chantilly to see the Boulle exposition (I'd told them about it because I'm a huge fan of his work, and I knew they'd love it as well, as we all love French antiques, etc., so we all met up there). I live up in Normandie, in the Manche department. It's beautiful here. I'll be sure to tell them hello for you. Looking forward to seeing your property in your next episode, then! We probably do have similar chateau taste! LOL
@@RonRobertson-lafrance Right, right, right! Awesome! I'm in Mayenne between Angers & Rennes so we're almost neighbors! LOL. I look forward to meeting you in person!

came across your vlog today and enjoy your energy and attitude/frankness. I'm a patron of Stephanie's and was there for her first Patrons day. I totally understand how it is to be there with the crew. Percy and I spoke and admitted my "paternal" concerns towards Steph. He assured me he was keeping an eye on things lol. I've subscribed and am accompanying you on this journey. A bientot. Dan R

Hello from the East Coast of Canada. Hoping your dream comes true and I can come visit / assist at YOUR chateau soon !
@@BeachClubNovaScotia Merci beaucoup!
This must have been filmed a long time ago! What year was it? Pre the courtyard changes.
Less driving please.
Well hello from Sydney, Australia! I really enjoyed your video, a totally different style so far from the other chateau channels... I have been watching The Chateau Diaries from the beginning, not long after after Stephanie first started vlogging, it seems like so long ago now. Love all the chateau channels and going by the ending, you have already started your chateau journey, I'm looking forward to your new adventure! 🦘
Thank you so much & hellooooo Denise! I love me some Aussie's ! My friend Kerry and I met at Lalande a couple of years ago and she came back to France again last month to help me settle in! You'll recognize the accent in future vlogs... LOL . Stephanie has been my #1 inspiration for sure... Big fan!
Dan's van is still there? He must have forgotten about it.
LOL no this is from my first visit. I'm doing a chronological narration of my journey to chatelaine!
Have you found a chateau yet?
Sneak peak coming next week!
I really loved this video! I’m a new subbie from Vancouver Island Canada and love anything chateau! Can’t wait for your next video!!! 😊
Yay! Thank you so much for the follow & support!
This must be quite old as Dans long gone and the trees around the fountain aren't in.
Yes, this was my first visit to Lalande. This is a narrative retelling of my journey to becoming a chatelaine.
@GoGoChateau Great, I can't wait to see the rest of the series and where you are now!
I was there in october. , at Lalande, kept pinching myself! My sister and I absolutely Loved it! Just found you I Really enjoyed your enthusiasm and energy on this video😊My whole life is also centered around this voyage to France, Lalande and a future living in Europe! How can we meet! Lets have a chateau retreat, hop from Chateau to Chateau enjoying the ambiance , history and wine! I drove us from lyon to Lalande, had an issue with the toll booths, , trucks barrelling down on my ass, and Im in the wrong lane! what a nightmare. I loved the countryside too, could it all be more beautiful. What am I doing here in canada, its not my people!
Hi! Thank you so much! I am totally with you Sister! It's such a dreamy, magical place!
New subscriber!! I’m on board to watch your journey.
Thanks a million! It's so helpful to know people are cheering me on!
Ya driving is boring…. No billboards but so American of you to advertise junk food 😂 Very worrisome attitude toward a country you may be moving to 😬 perhaps learn some customs, rules and etiquette before spilling your complaints on line.
I actually think she was pointing out differences and saying it was refreshing....I don't get your "take" on this video. I didn't see her complaining, and I don't think your comments are good or polite etiquette either.
I love your style and the dancing!! I have also been following the CD since 2020. I subscribed so I don’t miss your next adventure.
Merci beaucoup! I appreciate the support so much! BTW my middle name is Charlene (just one letter difference)...

Hi new subscriber, first time visiting your channel. 100% a fan of Stephanie and long time viewer. I was watching you thinking, wow, she is a really good filmmaker, and well, then you said you were a director. I am looking forward to following your dream. Love the French countryside,
Yay! Merci beaucoup! The CD community is filled with really kind, lovely people. I appreciate the support! xo
How quirky you are! That’s a compliment by the way. Looking forward to watching your adventure.
LOL. Quirky is one of my favorite words! I 100% take that as it was intended! Merci!
Hello from New Zealand . I love Chateaus and Antiques and do watch The Chateau diaries and lots of other Chateau Channels too . Have been to France but one day i will go .
Wow that's so cool! I've had several people from NZ reach out- it's really still so fascinating how people find each other! If it's your dream to come to France you'll make it happen!
Oh Yeah BABY! The chateau cultverse is coming too. Congratulations, collapse that timeline.
HAHAHA! Chateau cultverse - that is brilliant! Oh yeah!!!
Wow what a great video. Just subscribed-from Atlanta too!!
Atlanta in the HOUSE! Whoop whoop! Thanks so much!
Such a fun jounrey with you as you find your way to finally , Chateau de La Laland! I have been watching the vlogs and a patron of Chateau de LaLand, and have been for quite a long time! Have Loved meeting so many people along the way( well feel like I know them all well now.) LOL . Hope you do well and have found a Chateu already that is right for you, and things are going well for you as you move heaven and earth to get it all set up and livable and very charming.Maybe a bed and breakfast also!? . It would be great for you to learn more and naviagate your wayto meet up with Sephanie as she does make such good friends with all who do have Chateaus, and are friends with her, and so hope you become one of them, also! Not easy am sure , as it is a lifelong adventure. But you wil take many along! Look forward to joining you as you move with your dreams of also becoming a Chateau owner! You should stop and see Dan at his Chateau, and he really has been working hard and his Chateau does have a grand history as well! He is moving along well with some help from friends. It will be stunning when finished am sure! Realize this did not just happen when you visited, but am sure you will be visiting again and one day we will see you there with all the Lalanders! Stephanie and Philip are great people and am sure you had such great time with her. She is an actress as well ,and has taken the training and knows her stuff very well, you might say! Such an oprah singer! You can take in'' Work a Ways'', (People between jobs, and you can 'advertise', and they will work for living and food at first) it helps you and also them at this point.. and if they volunteer to have food and a place to live at first it will give you help to get started! . But being ''very careful '' of their background ,of course. Some hve been able to have college students who are taining in certain fields of carpentry or gardening etc and they come at times off from school , to work at a Chateau to help get it started. Not sure just how it works , if for training or pay too , but maybe to live and eat also , and training, as well? After a while they well may become paid staff living there as well, and being paid or still working as volunteers? They may become a dear part of your family, helping out as you have people stay at your Bed and Breakfast, if this is what you wanted? ! They will help you with your work and with the fun you will have at the Chaeau you choose! Stephanie even found the man of her dreams! The wedding will be a very spectacular day, just like when Isabel *Mummy* and Percy married. She was taken to the Chapel in a horse drawn wagon! ( The fabulously renovated Chapel, a whole discussion of its own!) It is like home to me, but here I am in NYS, far from France! 😪 But being able to watch and feel part of it all takes me into their world, and this is one thing that means so very much to me! Thousands like me! 🤩❣🧚♀💃🐑 🦌 Guess we certainly can learn little bit by watching others! Do know it takes work , of course . Do hope you enjoy this whole time of the Journey of looking for the Chateau of your dreams ( think it needs to talk to you in order to know " this is the one!?" Look forward to you finding your way into this new life, in France!
Awe thank you Carol for the thoughtful response! You certainly know the Chateau-verse! It really is a special place. Fear not, I am aware of all of the challenges and am certain that I will draw lovely people to me for assistance. 'If you build it they will come !" I totally believe in magic!
