I'm a Spuffy shipper, but I do appreciate Bangel. It was Buffy's first love, and it was so important for Buffy to become who she was. But I think Buffy never quite loved the same after Angel. She couldn't trust the same. Also, it was a pairing that really popularized the human and vampire relationship, which always existed but became super popular in the 90s and 2000s. I love David Boreanez, and Angel is such a good character.

Now that I see it from a distance, that wasn't love, it was just an illusion, but Spike did love her even from her evil... Later Spike gets the soul to be even more human for her.
@@sidrahasad9942ok, not saying the Spuffy relationship wasn’t toxic, but if you’re saying Spike earned his soul for selfish reasons so is not a champion then how could Angel who always has to be cursed with a soul heroic? If you compare them then you have to compare them as they are human Liam vs William/ unsouled Angelus vs season2-6 Spike/ Angel vs Spike in Buffy season 7 and AtS season 5

@@yinloveyang I get that. I was just saying Angelus vs unsouled Spike is far worse and would never feel guilt and fight for his soul. Wasn’t comparing unsouled Spike to Angel. Dru is a perfect example of how evil Angelus could be. I compare them as they would act in the same form I guess would be the word.
