Looks beautiful 😍
Marvellous news!
How exciting :)
I'll put that in my diary , look forward to it
Such a beautiful song sang beautifully.😊❤
Creative, resourceful, and beautiful work. ❤
Here’s another great mark making tip: take two large glass cutting boards (nice and thick!). Dribble paint on top of one board, and smush the other board on top. Use a butter knife to pry the two boards apart, and voila! You’ve got two mirror images you can press paper on and take prints off of. (Best to use thick glass/ boards because otherwise it can shatter when you pry them apart)
The cola pen and the rolling stamp are my favourites! I’ve never seen a wooden roller like that. I’ll have to see if I can find one.
Nice video. I appreciate your getting right to the point and not talking over music. Taping the tissue paper to a backing is a great tip! New subscriber.
Purtroppo ti ho scoperto da poco "mea culpa,"hai una voce bellissima e hai una dote unica "la semplicita' ,continua così ragazza ,a quando in Italia?
This woman can only.sing a song one way..perfection. Such a lucky crowd to have shared this performance.
Fantastic :) Met Paul Gionis yesterday - really nice guy and amazing work!
What a stunning talent Katherine is,Goerge sounds fantastic as well.Great stuff.
Was there last night in Scarborough..you are really something else, absolutely fabulous.
What's the song? Just seen it at the end. Looking forward to this fest, nice upload :D
Superb 🙌
What to say.. Katherine Priddy is really gifted!
I loved the inky marble and ball rolling around. ❤Thanks Sally. Couldn’t find the link to the Car Industry masking tape?
Try breakdown screen printing on fabric.
Hi Sally. I’ve recently found you from Karen Stamper’s current Sketchbook course. I first watched your really helpful video about different kinds of tissue papers and it was only when I saw her interview when you showed us your sketchbooks that I realised you are in Norwich. I am up in Wood Norton (near Fakenham and Holt.) but currently in India. I started doing lots of monoprinting last year here in Kerala - mostly using local leaves, Indian fabric printing blocks and rubbish I found on the beach, with a Gelli plate I ordered from Amazon India. Couldn’t get one in the local art shops. It’s a great technique for the humid climate of Kerala where nothing dries fast. Back in Norfolk I had to go back to expensive-but-gorgeous Golden Open Paints (made in USA). Love your work Sally - and your teaching is so helpful! Thank you.
Beautiful Piece of Art Darren. How long did it take to make this ?
Excellent ideas. Thank you.
Hi Sally, great video and i will be trying these techniques for definite! I was wondering if you know who the music and singer is at the end of this video, I have tried to find out but nothing comes up?
Love the music
Love the music too but cannot find out who it's by
Euridyce knocks me side ways. Probably one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Can't say anymore, too emotional.
Lovely little film - and many thanks and appreciation that the difference your songs music and collaborations make for this life of mine and for others
Wishing I was there listening to this song live ..thank you Katherine
I love this!
An English rose with a voice to match
Thanks for sharing !
Possibly the most beautiful song I have heard this year. Bought the album immediately.
Beautiful and haunting music particularly Eurydice. The song is so haunting...gorgeous
Lovely to hear such a wonderful voice, i was told to have a listen to you, so happy i did, 🤗
playing all today, truly emotive singer
Got the album on the day it came out. Now waiting for the HI-Res DSD version :)
Wonderful stuff - if you havn't bought the album - well its out tomorrow and lovely
sandy denny has come back to us :):):)
incredible job guys
I've just come across this lovely film (8 months late). I had a ticket to see Gigspanner Big Band in April 2020, now moved to 28 July 2021 - fingers crossed! But I did see them at Beardy festival - a brilliant performance, and on my birthday too!
hello deb and peter from sam and rosie xx
Are there videos about the painting techniques used on the pieces behind you? Good video! 😘 Thanks.
@LynnDuvall - Don’t know where you are or what your background is but you may be interested in on line courses run by Art2Life - the Creative Visionary Program CVP run by Nicholas Wilton from California. It’s an intense course - but amazing. Also the equally wonderful Louise Fletcher in Yorkshire UK who has courses ‘Find Your Joy’ and ‘Find Your Voice’. She says she may combine these for 2023… Both are active here on TH-cam and both offer free taster courses. Each course led me to find other teachers - a trail which led here to the lovely Sally Hirst.
Leaves and flowers are gals not guys. Very few Gelli print makers know this. Just kidding, of course, it just astounds me how many artists and crafters call supplies “him” - and all of them are women!
Sexism and racism are so embedded in our language it is almost impossible to avoid them when concentrating on something else such as teaching art techniques on line. Someone recently pulled me up (he was only half joking) for using the word ‘blackmailing’… It’s also interesting how much we are influenced by US slang and wanting to sound ‘hip’ or ‘cool’ 😂😂😂 eg ‘these guys’. I personally notice I do it when talking to much younger people - no doubt it has exactly the opposite effect and makes me sound even older and out-of-touch 🤣. Ageism… now there’s another thing…
A real human! Thanks for the fine film.
Brilliant. Hope to see you somewhere after the lockdown.
In Rivendell right now....
Hi Sally just made some of these thank you, do you use these with Indian ink or oil based inks please?
Just exquisite thee finest voice in all of Middle Earth. Thank you so much for hosting and sharing... And still we rise xo
What a lovely peaceful thoughtful film. Just what I needed this morning. Thank you Peter
Best wishes Peter...Great to meet you in Bath with John @ Chapel Arts Centre.
Really missed it this year :( on the upside, I did make an appearance in the video at 44s :) :) Hopefully, everything will be back to normal next year.
