when I fought louis on hard he had 7 or 8 turn icons depending on whether he was going to sacrifice a party member or not. Why does yours only have 5?

Is it possible to skip the first crystal? it seems that i cannot move on without destroying the crystal how do we skip them and run straight to louis?

im not really a fan of the design of the second phase of his fight with the three masks form. but the final form and his first form are both really solid. and the english VA for louis does such an amazing job it seals the whole thing

How did you do that much damage with royal sword, mine does only like 2k damage, i have the same archetypes, same strat and level 73, is it because of an equipment?

The secret to this boss fight is do not buff any of your stats to +3 or debuff the boss to -3 or you will get punished for it. If you debuff all the way with something like Debilitate, the boss will use a move that gives it something like 7 flashing turn icons, and if you buff your team all the way with the Warlord's Dynast synthesis skill the boss will just wipe all your buffs instead of ignoring them like it does normally. Buffing to +2/-2 is fine though. You can even get in a loop where you use the Deadly Eraser synthesis skill on a Destroyer (probably Basilio) to do a chunk of almighty damage each turn and erase the bosses buffs/debuffs, then have another character immediately after use Vidyartha from the Trickster skillset to reduce the bosses's atk/def by -2. The boss will waste two turn icons every single turn raising its attack back up if you keep doing this which drastically cuts down on its damage output. Also, as a general tip you will eventually unlock an accessory you can buy at the magic item shop (I think you need to max out Alphonso's link to get this) that reduces the turn icon cost of all synthesis skills by 1. This item is ridiculously overpowered due to how it allows you to spam synthesis skills like crazy and with specific classes with really strong synthesis skills ends up trivializing every boss fight in the game. You can buy four copies per shop and there's an individual stock at each shop so you can put one on every single party member if you want.

I'm not sure why, but the option for 'A Divine Alter Path' is not an option for me coming back here after doing all 3 towers.

How do you unlock the wizard?

Yeah, absolutely fuck this fight. I hate the bosses in this game. First phase drains all your MP then the second phase is just a gigantic ass turtle HP blob. They could've at least had the courtesy of ensuring you have full MP before this phase. Honestly, this fight left such a sour taste in my mouth that I probably won't be coming back to the game after finishing it nor have fond memories of it.

Tips for this fight. Heismay with royal thief passive or dodgers ring to deplete boss turns with dodges. Junah for debuff and mask moves. Hulkenburg for instant statis recovery and defense buff. Mc for prince damage and removing ally debuffs.

This and the poison dragon whooped my ass. The last two tho were actualy easy. Mvps were junah and heismay.

Do you think new game plus is to easy cause u keep the gear? As a lot in the game is gear dependant. Was thinking of starting over on hard cause i missed a lot of stuff in the beginning like the luck stuff and the bathing. But dunno might just do it in new game plus. But if its to easy cause of gear i might not even do new game plus. And i like gear progression..
