The man I love and happens to be my husband. I wish this was a longer video or maybe a set from their band. At one time they had the best musicians and were so good at playing all the top 20 and more that when they would book someone in their club to play they would save some money and just use Dale and his band, without having to pay their own. On the plus side, if an entertainer was in town they enjoyed stopping by to visit with Dale and the group and they would get on stage and sing a set or so. The crowd knew when they were there that “anyone” might just show up and add to the musical entertainment. The 1970’s and & ‘80’s were good years! We met in September of 1976, married in 1981 and here it is September of 1924 and this pops up on my TH-cam feed! What a pleasant surprise! 🎉😊❤😢

The pedal steel is one of the most beautiful sounding instruments ever and this song really suits it so much.

(Sorry for the VERY long "comment". But I loved it. LOL) Kind Sir...I will give you some "Trivia" that you might like...(maybe not LOL) Right after Buck's recording that classic "Together Again"; he came To Miami in his Show. And I went to it. But ONLY to see Tom Brumley, and meet him. So I got to the theater early, when NO one was there. So I waited, and Buck's Bus rolled up right next to my car. And I went crazy. And Don Rich was the first coming out of the Bus. And he asked me, "Sir is it OK to put the bus here"! Well I knew that the theater people would not care at all! LOL. So I said "You can leave this Bus here"! Then, Tom Brumley came out of the Bus. And my mind went crazy. And I said this, "My name is pat and got a question to ask". And he said, 'You want to know how I got that trick note on Together Again!". And I said, "How did you know that?". And he said, "Since the recording, many SG players have wanting to know"! "And I will show you how I did that trick tone; when I get it out of the case!". I was so nervous, I thought I was gunna die! And He did it. And it was SO easy how he did it. And when I got home, I did that trick on Together Again over and over. Well Fast-Forward many years. And I was in Tom's home in Brandon, Mo. And when my friend and I, was in Tom's car. And I said, "Tom, SG players are saying that trick tone with a knee lever. And You showed me, it didn't use any knee levers". And Tom said, "They tell me that too! But that PSG was an old Fender; and it did NOT have knee levers"! Yet, they said he used the B to Bb knee lever. We laughed all the way to his home. And I asked Tom if I could play his PSG. He said sure! And he and my friend were talking. And I was playing "Together Again". And now listen: what I am about to say, IS Jesus' TRUTH. Believe it or not... Tom walked over to the front of his guitar and said this..."Pat YOU played that better than I do!" And I almost fainted. And the last Trivia. I produced two SG Conventions in Atlanta, Ga. In 1997 and '98. And Tom came and played. When he was done, the fans gave him 5 "Encores". I shall never forget those moments. Praise Jesus' Holy Name. Again sorry of so long comments...and may Jesus rest Tom's precious "Soul". One of the nicest men i have ever known. How I miss him. Finis!

I miss my old friend, and spent many many hours over the years, at his house. I learned a lot from him, and he played some very neat things, with much feeling and finesse. He was a virtuoso on the steel guitar, and he had a heart of gold. Rest easy my friend!

Terry was such a cool player and great person. He promoted pedal steel in Branson and supported the music in the area. The Ozark Steel Guitar association was part of his efforts to broaden pedal steel and share the experience with players of all levels. Wonderful man and a friend.
