hi im having a trouble with a mpg z490 gaming plus, i have 2x 16gb ram that run at 3200mghz, but when i add another 2x 16gb at the same speed i have 64gb but at 2133mghz any way to make the 64gb run at 3200mghz?

I have struggled with this setup forever. I have a 10850k and a gigabyte z490 Elite motherboard and I have 3600 36 36 36 b die. And I have the Arctic freezer 2 280 mm cooler in a fully open case with an extra fan blowing at the vrms. I've seen others maintain 5.4 with this setup no matter what guide I follow I end up with insane temps especially particularly in the Bios...? I idle at around 28 C. The spikes that I get are unbelievable

I found everything to a T. I'm at 91° C at 1.51 volts in the Bios what the heck!

do you need the bracket or can you just put the delidded cpu back into the socket?

This is really great info, but I don't understand why would you want an overclock that behaves as stock. Usually fixed Vcore is better, right?

In 2014 I de-lidded my intel core i7 4790k & used Coollaboratory Liquid ultra under the IHS, it is 2022 & that cpu is still working flawless with zero issues. liquid metal does not expire & lasts pretty much forever! GN is wrong if he said it only lasted 1 year.....

I was making my way from 3600 MHz with the same CPU on a Z490 MB and got stuck at 3866 MHz. It paid off well to check RTLs and IOLs after each adjustment. It showed the problem was in exact setting of tRCD/tRP vs. tCL. I had to find the right value and tighten tRCD/tRP back down. After that the latencies came back within the desired intervals. Also on Samsung B-die. I am only guessing but discrepancies between primary timings vs. speeds might explain why some higher frequencies seem to be less unstable than the other lower. It depends where loose primary timings actually are and how far from their ideal values. Loosening timings does not always seem to be in direct proportion to stability. At any rate, thank you for the video, it gave me some useful ideas.

Using this guide right now to redo my OC on my 10850k. Probably because I'll upgrade it for 14 series in 2023 or wait for 14 series My Aorus Master on auto had this thing getting 1.65v at 5.1ghz - wtf LOL. Not having that.

50/47 @ 1.325 fixed vcore using air cooler seems to be the best I can do (while stable). Will try adaptive down the line, but this seems to work. Couldn't have done it without your help. Thanks for the video.

I have this same build.. what did you do about the frame hitching and bottleneck? im getting it even in the lowest settings of games and even when i bump down the resolution..

Thank you! This is the best OC guide I have found. I am new to CPU OC and I bought a new Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Master mobo w/11700K. I see plenty of guides but none are as in depth. They also don't show you the process they usually just give you the terms and tell you "it's tedious", although it doesn't seem as tedious as manually OC ram. So again thank you for something I can follow along with

um ya your 10900k is way out of tune.

I think you would be more successful with a static voltage.

By the way for what it's worth I ran Karhu (without Cache enabled) for 12 hours %23,000+ and it was fine, but later I ran TM5 with Anta777 Extreme config and for error "2" after 1hour and 12 minutes. I'm running a fan over the sticks. Is there anything I can do to make Karhu detect "better"?

Hi, I am overclocking a 10900K on a aorus z390 ultra and my initial OC test on 5GHz with auto voltage with no V offest is jumping from like 0.77V idle to 1.39V under load with prime 95. Its not crashing but this voltage seems a bit high? Cheers.

I think very few 10th gen IMC’s can do high frequency. My 10700K is suffering with my 3800C14 DR kit. Really disappointed tbh as it feels like the kit was a waste. The topology on the board is fine, and I knew it was my IMC because my Ballistix MAX kit couldn’t even boot at 4533 and I ran it daily stable at 5000C18 on Ryzen platform before I switched back. This video was definitely helpful because I thought I was alone on this. At 3800-4000, I can run decently aggressive profiles on both kits, but at anything above 4000 the CPU freaks the hell out. Currently: 4000 15-15-15-32-2T/3800 14-14-14-30-2T with tightening secondaries at 1.5V (XMP voltage) is the best I can do HCI stable with the B-Die kit, and my Ballistix topped out at 3800 13-17-17-34-1T @ 1.6V and 14-17-17-34-1T @ 1.5V.

Probably double posted so apologies and late to the game! I have a 10700K on a Gigabyte Z490 Ultra motherboard pretty much from launch and thankfully it has been a rock solid setup. I have updated the BIOS to the one which enable SAM. I have overclocked to 5.1GHz all core with an Override vcore of 1.310v...VROUT reads 1.265v. No issues on Prime95 small FFT's (30 minutes) reaching a max of 83 degrees though running a 360mm AIO, stable running Cinebench and Games. The question is I have seen people using much higher vcore does that mean I am not stable, is there something I am missing? Should I be running Prime95 for much longer?

Is the backplate they offer for 15 bucks necessary as well?

Im using Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro. 32 GB. After trying these settings, I get blackscreen. Can't even get to Logo screen. Had to remove CMOS battery to reset Bios. Help?

I think your overclocking helped me. My default bios kept crashing my pc. I am using Aorus Z490 Xtreme, with i10 10900k, corsair vengeance rgb 32gb ram, I ran on default settings, installed new drivers, update new drivers and soon, it crashed. Tried to turn on my PC , it kept looping the logo screen. So I tried system restore, it didn't work. I had to press rest pc and it's back to normal (without drivers). The whole hell restarts. Until I came across overclocking. Only then it will boot my windows 10. Not sure if it's my bios or any part of my pc component fault. Help?
