I just started playing mtg and I bought this deck since we play comander at my work. I hope it was an okey deck I bought and if not what should I do to upgrade it ?

this is a fantastic Commander deck. capable of getting all your merfolk to what could be considered as undefinable levels of power. but the problem I often ran into during game night at my LGS? was keeping them all on the field. this deck generates so much threat without even trying to the point that it's actually amazing. that is even after I added a great defense package. with cards like mirror shield, last word or overwhelming denial. and more than likely, you're going to need a backup plan that doesn't rely on the face commander. because that sucker will accumulate so much tax, it becomes pointless to even bother bringing it out. but the problem is, that isn't viable for beginners. because, beginners are just that. so I'm recommending for beginners, go for the dinosaurs instead. you so much a sneeze and you get dinosaurs all over the place. leave this deck for the experts. I ran my souped up explorers of the deep deck on the same night as my upgraded at most wanted deck and found the outlaws far easier to keep around. with the plan being far more viable to accumulate treasure and reap the rewards.

You get about 4-5 shocklands in older draft boxes. This is absolutely not worth it and even for nostalgia opening lets say Allegiance is better.

6 shocklands is slightly unlucky, basically a coin flip. Not getting an old bordered foil shockland is critically unlucky, those are where the value mostly rests.

blink/flicker/copy/clone effects help a lot in this deck!

There is also warleader's call anthem +1+1combine with impact tremor effect for only 3 mana that so good in this deck.

Hello, nice upgrade, i am not really into battle siege since you want them for the anthem, why not play a direct anthem like intagible virtue give +1+1 and vigilance on our token for 2 mana. I would also add herald of hoofbeats since lot of our creature are knight.
