Gayatri Mantra is one of the most powerful and revered chants in Hinduism, often referred to as the "Mother of all Mantras." "Om Bhur Bhuvaḥ Svaḥ,
Tat-savitur Vareṇyaṃ,
Bhargo Devasya Dhīmahi,

Translation:
"We meditate on the divine light of the Sun,
May that light inspire and illuminate our intellect."

bhūr - physical body / physical realm;
bhuvaḥ - life force / mental realm;

savitur - of Savitṛ (Sun, Creator, source of all life);
vareṇyam - adore, venerable;
bhargo - splendour, effulgence, divine light;
devasya - Supreme Lord;
dhīmahi - may we meditate;
dhiyo - buddhi (intellect);
yo - may this light;
naḥ - our;
prachodayāt - illumine / inspire.
