Hey there!
Welcome to our channel “The Jayasenas”
We are Cherry, Jay & Arya - a family of 3, living the everyday life: working full time, studying full time and exploring the great outdoors in the spare time. We decided that we should go explore the great outdoors as we can when we can, before the arthritis kicks in! We want to show you all, that it is possible to travel and explore with young kids without damaging your budget.
This channel is basically "Tjaka!", which in Anangu - Pitjantjatjara language "It's just the way it is!"
This is no ordinary travel channel!
What you see in our videos are basically unedited - nothing fancy. They could probably not be even in best quality! We just record them from an iPhone and the occasional Gopro and use a free video editing app to simply compile a video!
We love to embrace the beauty of our adventures, yet capture some special moments and compile them into a little video memory.
Cheers!

Marions Lookout - Cradle Mountain
มุมมอง 316ปีที่แล้ว
This was our first big hike in Tassie. Crater Lake, Marions Lookout, Lake Lilla, Dove Lake Loop. A 10km, 3.5hr loop to witness a stunning 360 view up top in Marions Lookout. This route passes by several lookouts with stunning views and has a mix of terrain, flora and fauna. The walk can be lengthened or shortened as it connects with several others in the area including the trail up to Cradle Mo...

Trowutta Arch Track
มุมมอง 69ปีที่แล้ว
A beautiful and a quiet hike through the Trowutta Caves State Reserve, a stunning rainforest that lead us to another world! Trowutta Arch was formed by the collapse of an ancient cave - the roof fell in leaving one section between two sink holes This is a very short walk, only takes about 30mins and is fitting for all ages and fitness levels.
The Edge Of The World
มุมมอง 70ปีที่แล้ว
The Edge Of The World - Tasmania’s shore of eternity: The Edge of the World is located in the township of Arthur River. There is a short boardwalk to the coastline and a poem on a plaque. “I cast my pebble onto the shore of Eternity. To be washed by the Ocean of Time. It has shape, form, and substance. It is me. One day I will be no more. But my pebble will remain here. On the shore of eternity...
Chalwell Galleries, Mt Buffalo National Park
มุมมอง 187ปีที่แล้ว
Chalwell Galleries: A great hike through the Mount Buffalo National Park, and one of the best hikes we’ve done so far! It’s about a 2km circular trail, and is generally considered a moderately challenging route. You will also need to be comfortable with confined spaces as there’s quite a bit of sqeezing through little spaces are involved!! It took us about 1.5hrs to complete the track but we to...
Stanley Nut
มุมมอง 68ปีที่แล้ว
The Stanley Nut is such a scenic location especially on a clear day and a must do on a Tassie bucket list! We took the chairlift up and down and the 2km walk around the top of the Nut was an easy walk. Suites all ages and fitness levels. Better to do the track clockwise to avoid walking up steps. It was crazy windy up there but the views were spectacular. Once we got down, we treated ourselves ...
Our Experience on Spirit of Tasmania
มุมมอง 1.7Kปีที่แล้ว
The Jayasenas started the year 2023 adventures by doing a lap around the island state, Tasmania. We took Spirit of Tasmania so that we could take our Toyota Prado aka BEASTY. Here’s a little rundown about our SOT experience: - We were in Geelong by 6.15am. - Checking in started at 6.00am but there was a big lineup still! - We didn’t bring any fresh fruit n veggies and due to bio security reason...
The Monolith, Mt. Buffalo National Park
มุมมอง 152ปีที่แล้ว
Well, as the video shows, it’s a whopping big rock that looks precariously balanced! You can’t climb all the way up to the top anymore - which looks pretty scary and unstable anyways!! 😬 The Monolith us a rugged rock formation which towers 1464 metres above sea level. Easily accessed from the Gorge carpark on Mount Buffalo, this well-maintained, clearly marked, wide track is the perfect way to ...
The Horn, Mt. Buffalo National Park
มุมมอง 168ปีที่แล้ว
The Horn is the highest point in Mount Buffalo National Park at 1,723m, located in the Alpine Region of Victoria. This is about a 1.6km out and back hike that took us about 45mins to complete. This is quite a rocky trail though, with a few sections of narrow and boulder-type rock that involve a scramble. There are steps installed and hand-rails in place at steep sections. The 360 degree view at...
Gooram Falls, Victoria
มุมมอง 68ปีที่แล้ว
The Gooram Falls: A beautiful place to visit for a swim and picnic during summer and enjoy the views of the rock pools and the water cascading over the rocks. About a 2hr drive from Melbourne CBD and the address is easy to follow on Google maps. There's not much facilities though. No camping allowed and fires are only in a designated area. We had a lovely time, it was the first weekend of summe...
Organ Pipes National Park
มุมมอง 432 ปีที่แล้ว
Organ Pipes National Park is located at the eastern-most edge of one of the world’s largest ancient volcanic lava flows, stretching 350 kilometres from the edge of Melbourne to the western border of Victoria. Organ Pipes NP is also the closest national park to Melbourne CBD. The initial walk from the carpark is down a short but very steep hill. This track leads to the iconic Organ Pipes, Rosett...

Это вершина астероида.
Did you see other spirit of Tasmania
Yes. Usually around the halfway mark of the journey. They also announce when we’re about to pass the other vessel.
Thank you for the information in your Visio very helpful shall follow you in your next journey
You’re welcome! 🤗
Do they offer a driver to park your car on and off if you do not feel confident to drive on lower decks??
I’m not too sure if you can get a crew member to drive it for you. The decks are on different heights, so they allocate the deck to suit your car or towing vehicle. I think they allocate it based on the vehicle size selections you do when you do the initial SOT booking. Driving in the lower decks are not that bad though, there’s crew members stationed everywhere to help out.
Wow, it's beautiful 😍.
Thank you! The day was perfect for it! Would love to do this hike again during winter one day! :)
wow great work A superb creativity
